    Hi all,

Replacing the interior due to previous owners heavy smoking. Not looking for smoke smell removal advice in this thread. Searching for a headliner, and trying to make sure which years will work to help with my junkyard search. It's a really hard part to find, I'm learning that many places may have them but not list them since they're tough to remove and others destroy them removing other parts. New ones are $1295.

The OEM Toyota parts finder sites use part number 63310AD020B1 for 2005-2008 but then switch to 6331004190B0 for 2009 on. My question is whether or not the 2009 on headliners will work for my 2007. Anyone have any insight on this?

    Thanks!

Have you considered just going without a headliner? I've removed them from other trucks and never even noticed it much.
Most people don't even look up inside a vehicle.

I like it. And I may end up there. How much noisier is it?

Maybe I'll take mine out and hang it in from a tree for a year or two.

Removing it makes no noise difference at all, you won't even miss it.

Will the side curtain airbags still work properly or did 07's not have those yet?

Not sure on all '07s, may have been an option at that time. But mine does not have side airbags.

You might do better to do odor removal if they're that hard to find. But short of that, have you looked into just replacing the fabric and the padding? Headliners aren't too hard to re-cover as long as you use the proper adhesive.

Yep. The more futile searches I do and the more I research this I think that stripping down to the fiberglass, doing some type of odor removal, then having an upholstery shop install new foam and fabric may be the best way to go.
