It would be unusual for the unit to actually run on 110, very few electronic devices do. If you're using a ResMed device it's 24v dc. The AC adaptor is an inverter, while the DC one just steps up the voltage from 12->24.

In any case I would suggest the DC adapter for efficiency (try to get your insurance to chip-in) - it's actually required for the EXP48 device you previously mentioned you were interested in.

3/2 lift, Backwoods Adventure Mods front bumper, 12k lbs badlands winch, on-board air plumbed to all 4 wheels.
My solution was to buy a DC power supply cable (removes the inverter which robs power) and a 300 watt battery pack like a Jackery. I can run my cpap for 18hrs on one charge. So I would figure you could run two units for one night. Total cost was under $200. I got everything from Amazon. If I use the normal power supply I only get 5hrs out of the 300 battery pack.

I have several GBX 70s and a couple of GBX 150s....I'm not sure which one I use most but I use both of these for my CPAP machine when I'm out.

Each of use the Resmed Airsense 10. Pressures are 13 and 14, both use humidifier and heated tube.

How the hell do you do that? I saw no 12v outlet or 115v outlet? :goingcrazy:

Those are DC machines. So getting the DC converter will be the most efficient.

The DC converters can even be connected directly to your car battery.

Everyone keeps suggesting Jackery, they are like the Kleenex of portable power stations.

Comparable companies at a lower price point do exist. I am happy with my Ecoflow River Pro which is a 720 Wh device which I got for $430. Check out Ecoflow on Costco. Costco offers them for a ridiculously cheap price for what you get. I plug my fridge and other accessories into this full time and have the Ecoflow plugged into a 12v outlet I ran to the truckbed. It is always full and topped off by the time I get anywhere.

Is this then, what you're talking about?
    https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-dc-converter-airsense-aircurve-10-machines

If so, I contacted the seller and they said I can get 2-3 nights minimum with a 12v deep cycle battery. It's cheap but, damn...I really don't want to carry one of those.

That is. From what I can see, that will be your most efficient option. This will be true if connecting it to a car battery or if you are using something like the EXP48.

I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

Yeah my wife bought something (I think from our doc/medical supply folks) that has an adapter - it goes into the machine and plugs in to the NOCO. She told them what I had and it connects. I've had it for a LONG time. I have an extra that she bought me last year or so - so I'm certain it's available. If your folks at your CPAP supply place don;t know about it - let me Know and I'll have my wife snap a pic of it for you.

    Okay, thanks...you've got my interest!

I would really be interested to know what it is and if possible, where I might find one. At least a NOCO would serve two purposes for the money as opposed to a battery that only does one thing. This would really be the best possible solution if I could get a couple of nights with a single charge. My only concern is that it is safe for the CPAP...pure sine wave power?

I believe it's already been determined that your device actually runs on DC.... no sine wave required. Just DC to DC conversion to get to the proper voltage.

I don't know shit about much, especially electronics/technology! But thanks for the note.
    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

But a jump start battery that could run a cpap for 2 nights would be perfect because I want one for the truck anyway. And, I could put another in the wife's car too. So then, when we camp we simply take both jump batteries to power or devices. Sounds too good to be true but, i'm ready:spending:

The NOCO GB150 is 88 watt hours (the EXP48 is 150 watt hours). The NOCO GBX155 is 99 watt hours and can fully charge in 2.7 hours.

I'm traveling on business and haven't been home since my last note...as for using it multiple nights my wife reminded me that I take one for each night I'm out. I must confess I'm rarely out more than one night - I prefer to camp on our property so I can head back to the house if I want (I'm a bit older HAHAHA). She also said the converter we bought for the NOCOs - we got from the CPAP equipment store. She said if you wanted, you could probably get a converter cheaper somewhere else. She remembered that I take the larger units when I go and she said I get around 6-7 hours of steady use. Sorry I'm not more help, but I can attest that the units (larger anyway) are ale to run my CPAP. I have had good luck with these units - I give them as gifts to friends of my kids - the ones that are away at colleges and several have used them. Just remember to keep them charged. Good luck!

I am glad too see so many folks trying to help and figure out for a fellow with his medical needs to be able to camp and enjoy the outdoors.

I am here learning a whole lot from everyone!
