Deer hunting BS thread

Somebody came in on a white four wheeler yesterday while I was bush hogging. I messaged the neighbor and ask if he knew who was on the white four wheeler, he said I thought it was you. I said I’ll just send the pictures I have to a friend at the sheriff department and let them handle it.

Colored pencils make great fake antennas

I put 4 signs and 3 old wildgame cameras out, if they steal them they did me a favor. I didn’t even put batteries in them.

moved my stand last week. one of the youngins snuck up next day and put a camera infront of it. they pulled the card this morning. wow,had 8 different bucks and one pic had 5bucks in it, you can see my stand just behind the one flipping the white flag guess ill hunt in the morning. back to work Monday

I believe it is. I haven’t seen the deer but my buddies son has.

 

well, i always put good stuff on so mite as well put the bad. im in a pissy mood. saw tons of game today. walking out thru what we call rabbit patch saw a deer. damn good buck in a thicket. only see his head and neck peaking around a cedar. @60yds. not my 1st choice but comfortable with it. Bam! he hit the ground and struggled up through the thicket. crashing limbs and all was silent. didnt even reload. eased up with knife,rope and gloves. no blood,no hair. bullshit. started zoning the thicket. went back and made sure i was at right place. after @1/2 hour found blood on top of the hill. good pool where he stood but dark muscle blood. not good. tracked a couple 100 yds and everytime he stopped was less and less.long story short, tracked at least 500yds. lost blood trail and he was pulling a ridge(not good). I hate to wound them. would rather not get a shot. feel sick about it.tracked for over 2 hours. talk about thick briars. here is my arm when got back to the truck. at least 17-18 inch mid 120’s buck,pretty sure was an 8pt hope he surived

thats the worst feeling.

 

not as bad as it looked Mike. my meds make me bleed like a stuck hog.still feel bad. part of hunting but in all my years only wounded a few deer. dont shoot unless i know its a good shot. still not sure what happened or where i hit him. going out Fri. to stomp around to see if i find him. Lance is taking his dog out tommorow to look
