currently working with Accutune and Deaver and re-evaluating the current PO suspension, Accutune is building/revalving/tuning complete front and rear FOX 2.5 w/DSC spec'd Eibach 650lb coils but may go 700. waiting on DeaverIMG_2805.jpg 12.18.21 Truck Weight Ticket.jpg for a response on new leaf packs. Looks like older 11 leaf Deaver U402 stage 2 or 3 on there now, also adding Archive garage stage 4 bumpstop kit with spacers.

Crazy yours is under 6. when my truck was similar it was almost 1000 more can’t seem to figure out why when I see these ha. I only wish to be 6k again. I did get weight down to 6300 but that was no skids, no rear tire nothing in the rear bed and likely something else.

looks like we have the same rear setup. The wedge setup is likely. Extra 150 and tire setup maybe another 50 but no where near 1000 more. 7k was fully loaded. Maybe 6800 with an empty bed.

did you ever figure out where the weight was hiding and find a way to reduce some?

I'll weight the truck again next camping trip. I've shaved down some of the stuff i carry for trips but not by a whole lot. more curious to see where I'm sitting now

Weighed mine back in January. 2015 DCSB, camper shell, custom drawer platform in bed, bolt-on sliders, Bilstein 6112/5160s, and probably 100lbs of tools and gear that always lives in it. Mostly stock otherwise. 4,940 lbs with a full tank and without me sitting in it. Look how sad those rear OEM leafs were doing lol.

Likely much heavier now after adding a skid trilogy, Fox 2.5's, Deavers, etc. Guesstimating I'm over 5,300 give or take. I have a few more mods to do and I'll weight it again maybe in springtime just for funzies.

I put my 07 on a DOT scale, 4,100 lbs.

My 2005 Baja Turbo was 4,000 lbs.

My 1998 Legacy GT was 3,600 lbs.

My 2002 WRX Wagon was 3,200 lbs.

All of these were bone stock... And FWIW, my Baja Turbo would go up steep grades (twisties in the mountains) and pull from 30mph to 60mph without even pushing past 3,000RPM, whereas, my Taco has to run up to redline to get up to 50mph on the same hills. o.x The Baja probably was pushing 320 ft-lbs of torque at 3,200 RPM, though. Either way, that Subie made a vast quantity of torque more than my Taco does, and MUCH lower down. 18 PSI of boost at 2,200 RPM will do that, though.

I’m pretty sure it’s all the weight hanging off the back. I did pull the tire off all my skids, all my gear and got it down to 6300 which is still high. I recently swapped my bumper to a hybrid and made a few other changes. Now I have a JD fab lower pivot kit so no more BAMF front skid. I’ll still run the mid and trans but my guess that may save me some decent weight. My local weigh spot is temp closed though.

Here's my tiny house. Just about 7000lbs.
I weighed it unloaded. (It's got tools and gear, but not food and water). Loaded up for a couple weeks of camping, kid and wife, it's got to be about 700lbs heavier.

I'm confused... Specs show 2010 taco have a 21 gallon tank size. At quarter tank (with ~5 gallons of gas), your truck weighs 4680. With a full tank of gas, it weighs 4720. That's 40 pounds difference. Common fuel weighs approximately 6 pounds per gallon. 40lbs(difference in weight)÷6lbs(weight per gallon of gasoline)=6.66gallons. So ~6.6 gallons of gasoline went from 1/4 tank to full?

Unless my math is wrong..... something is not right.

Nice that's in line with the lower end of stock trucks.
