If you are planning on upgrading the rear later when funds are available. There is nothing wrong with using a block as a stopgap. A 1" block will raise you up without adverse effects to the rear suspension. Then save and research for the springs you want and best fit your needs. I personally have no interest in AAL, spring steel always likes to return to it's original shape. The Icons are the ones I am looking at down the road. In the meantime I have a 1" block to go with my lift kit.

    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
aweome! I have the ome medium packs and they’re squeaking like a hillbilly truck outta the dust bowl.

do you have to loosen the ubolts, or can you just lift the frame of the truck to make the space?

What is the consensus on the greasable leaf pins? Do they help with squeaking? Are they worth the $$ and time?

I’ve never broken them down to do it. Just lifted the frame and then used like a big chisel or something to wedge in between the individual leafs to clearance them from one another. Just lifting the frame won’t give you enough room.

Pressure wash the springs, make sure theyre clean. Jack up the truck to take pressure off the springs, then use a pry bar to spread the leaves apart and spray white lithium grease in there. Should help a lot

Thanks guys. These things are driving me nut. I like the ride they offer and the lift, but man, the creaking and squeaking is killing me.
