Are you shifting your crawlbox into neutral or your trans?

Trans to neutral, box to neutral or high trans to park e brake unless in high. No grinding. TG was stumped wanted me to send the box back but I decided to live with it because there are no other issues. If I break it then it’ll come out for chromoly gears anyway. No metal in gear oil either changed it 3 times so far lol

I like running in 2.57 then add in the 2.28 cause shifting to 2.28 is so easy and sure.
I also haven't done the locker anytime mod.
I'm still fitting mine in and adjusting the shifters.

I shift my case to whatever when ever... Sometime the truck move so slow, I wonder if I'm even moving at all. :mudding:

Normal with the park pawl in the auto not being happy with the extra gearing if there is load on the drivetrain. I was just discussing this with a buddy when I heard his auto ratchet when he went into park too quick

Mines the same. Drive to neutral to park. Reverse to neutral to park. Listen to a jeep when they shift straight to park. Same thing.

Yep same here. I don't know what's going on, I just do the neutral trick that everyone is doing. Seems to be fine

Last I heard was “end of the year”, but that was over a month ago, nothing since then. I’ll post an update in this thread when I have news to share.

Not even close. They were really great to deal with and very upfront with any delays they had when I got my crawl box.

    Pretty good.
Everything's running fine just using a 3 1/2" long bolt for one of the shifters and I can still see and hear the road through the holes in my center console.

Did you go with a TG or NWF crawl box?

NW Fab. Hopefully after the holidays I can get it put in, along with the transmission that was mated to your fj case and a heavy flywheel.

For the first several months I was driving with the shifter hole not properly sealed, the cabin was loud and you can hear the gears. After making a plate around the hole, putting a shift boot around the shifter and adding sound deadening foam, my cabin noise reduced drastically

As I was heading down the hwy listening to all the noise and my wife making a comment somewhere along the lines of how much I just f'd up my truck... I grabbed a towel and stuffed it into the two holes... in the center console and behold.... all was quiet

    Happy wife...

Went snowshoeing along ice house res.
Saw Santa fishing, think I'm getting 37s

Mine's pretty quiet. Can hold a normal conversation without yelling at each and playing deaf.

    Who has an option.
I built a crawl box, marlin 4.7 chromoly gears, advance adapters case , TG adaptors. Etc haven’t gotten it installed so brand new.

but I’m think of maybe selling it and going the NWFab eco box route instead.

torn about what the right path is.
