The marketing behind the branding is absolutely fascinating.

Finally got the chandelier centered over top of the dining table. Stupid thing weighs as much as a ceiling fan. Glad I got the fan rated box with the truss kit to hang it on. The 60 year old box nailed to the joist that it was hanging from was pretty sketch.

Ill patch the old hole when I eventually redo the kitchen one day. For now I just stuck a cover plate on it.

Looking good. With food on the table, nobody will ever notice the box cover. LOL

Next summer I hope to make some changes to this poorly designed kitchen.

Yes, the dishwasher is on the wrong side. And the laundry hookups are over there where the trash can is.

Where is your laundry room now since that was the designated spot?

One of my spare bedrooms is 10'x14'. Gonna sacrifice some space and make it a 10'x10' to match the other spare room.

Congratulations, this is officially the worst kitchen I've ever seen. The great wall of dark wood is the icing on the cake

And it comes with a whopping 2 sq ft of useable counter space.

Plan is to ditch the cook top and wall oven. Move fridge to laundry area, put a legit stove in where the fridge is, keep peninsula for the dishwasher (but move it so it faces the right way) and counter space. Get rid of hanging cabinets/eyesore over peninsula and replace with pendant lights. Then frame in the area where the wall oven is for a legit pantry.

Gonna grab hickory cabinets from Lowes and pretty much copy this as far as style goes. Only I will have a microwave over the stove. But the floor tile and wall color will be pretty much the same as the pic, and I plan on doing a tile back splash behind the range.

    Nice

HD carries a wide variety of tile back splashes; we're doing the same.

Yup. Everything comes from Lowes or HD. Brings cost way down versus going to a design center/tile shop.

Those cabinets are the contractor grade option that Lowes stocks on the shelf. They are super nice for the price and way better than what I have. Plus I dont have to wait for them to be made. Only thing I'll have to wait on will be the countertops. Going with a faux concrete laminate that has to be cut to size.
