Getting a weird vibration (don't think it's the needle bearing)

So I just started getting a vibration. Feels like a rotating vibration. Only happens around 35 and 75 MPH no matter the RPM. Doesn't happen when the clutch is engaged. Thought it was the tire tread and filled the tires more, no luck. Tried the 4hi trick and it still occurs in 4hi so I don't think its the needle bearing. Might be the throw out bearing but I assume it would happen at a specific RPM if that was the case. Also I want to see what you guys think before getting that done, maybe Im not thinking of something.

    Any ideas?

I was thinking that too, but I assume I would feel that vibration get worse the faster I went. This only happens at 35ish and 75ish and feels the same at both those speeds. Feels like a Im on a subtle rumble strip.

Does the noise change when you turn the wheels either direction?

    Toss a wheel weight?

Edit, never mind, I reread your post and saw it goes away with the clutch engaged.

I was thinking maybe I tossed a driveshaft weight, but I think it would come up at a certain RPM instead of a certain speed.

By engaged that means when you push the pedal down and the driveshaft is now not connected to the engine I'm guessing so only occurs under load. Look at driveshaft u-joints (and center bearing if have one). If OEM springs look for a broken/cracked leaf or bad bushings if poly anywhere.

To me this statement: "the clutch is engaged.". When the clutch is Engaged then the clutch disc is engaged with the flywheel and the Pressure Plate and driving the transmission. When the clutch is Disengaged that means the drive train rearward from the clutch is freewheeling.

    OP please explain more clearly.
    Clutch pedal pressed in.
    or
    Clutch pedal out.

Pedal pressed in. Sorry for the poor terminology. So the vibration only happens as power is going down the drivetrain. I think it has to be at the rear-end.

So the vibration goes away with the clutch pedal pressed (clutch is disengaged).

This sounds like a universal joint or the center bearing to me.

I would be betting the Universal Joint(s) are done. Remove the driveshaft and inspect each of the three joints for binding or excessive looseness. If one is worn out replace all three and on an 2006 you may want to go ahead and replace that center bearing too.

Didn't a guy a few days ago fix a vibe by greasing the driveshaft slip joint?

Well since he has to remove the driveshaft to inspect the universal joints it wouldn't hurt to grease the splines on the slip joint... I don't think the slip joint has a grease fitting.

    I agree with Jimmy 100 percent .
Gotta remove the driveshaft for a proper universal joint inspection . You cant tell if the universal joints are seized when the driveshaft is bolted up .
