    Wondering if you could tell me if the Hotshot stuff is made in USA? I know Diode Dynamics stuff is, but they won't sell LED headlights any more due to being illegal in the US...see https://www.diodedynamics.com/street-use-of-led-bulbs

    So I just got around to installing these cool hood lights and noticed something that triggers my OCD: both lights are identical. Is that normal? Meaning, I got the lights that have the wide and spot on the same unit, but when installed the two sides are the same instead of mirror images, if that makes any sense. I would much prefer that one of them be turned over so they aesthetically match, but that isn't possible due to how they are made it seems...?

    Which Hotshot stuff are you referring to? We don't currently make any of the bulbs that we sell, but we also don't currently have any house brands either for bulbs. No LED bulb from any manufacturer is technically legal in a housing that was originally intended for halogen bulbs. I think I answered your question?
    The SSC2s being identical in terms of pattern is correct. Also, unfortunately, the C2s are unable to be rotated 180deg. They are "keyed" in that they have an alignment tab that only allows them to go one way. DD does this (I believe) to help ensure that folks doing lens swaps don't put them in there weird causing water/dirt intrusion.

    I just did the same with Wheelers for "in stock" stuff. I've ordered from them a bunch of times in the past with no issue but after over a week with no movement on an in stock item, I cancelled the order with them, ordered elsewhere and got them 3 days later. I have the feeling i would have still been waiting on the Wheelers order.

    Had the opportunity to install a couple days ago and love the products. The morimoto headlights purchased at Hotshot Offroad are pretty damn sick and A+ welding skills by DRT Fabrication.

    Installed the hood lights from @memario1214 and they look great! Also I was worried because I have hood struts set to lift the hood the highest angle, and these lights still fit properly and don't touch the windshield when the hood is up. (The hood is cracked open a bit since I always keep a battery tender attached.) Too bad they didn't come with covers, but I still like them a lot!

    PLUG AND PLAY :cool:

    The only thing that won't plug directly in will be the backlight as there will just be a spare wire coming out the back where the connectors plug in. You can tap it into anything you want!
