My inlaws are retired and travel a fair amount. For the last set of lockdowns in OZ they left each zone with a day to spare. They where literally timing the lockdowns and moving to non-lockdown ares. It sounded like Mad Max for the elderly. lol

If anyone here works for the UFC or the Honda center let me know. Was thinking of going to UFC 270 to watch the fights. Then I went to Ticketmaster. $350 for nosebleeds and $900 for decent seats. That's for available seats not scalped tickets. WTF?

 

This feels like a flashback. Where have I heard this before?

Ticketmaster is the robinhood of ticket sales...

Even better...all those little RED resale seats, if they weren't already pre-sold to affiliates of ticketmaster to lock up the best bargain seats...are charged a 10% to sell it to you PLUS a set fee and then you pay 10% on the back end plus a set fee...So many times they 2x and 3x dip on the fees and drive up the prices...


Best bet if you can is to wait until the day of the event and stubhub/ticketmaster when the desperate people offload for $100

 

WOW. I knew ufc was popular, I had no idea people paid that much to see an event.

 

Admittedly it's been a few years, read a decade, since I bought tickets for any major event. That said, I was really blown away by the cost of tickets. I'll just do what I always do and DL the fight to watch on Sunday. It's free, my couch is comfy, and my TV is bad ass. lol

bumped into Bones Jones back in 2012 at a bar in Ithaca.
He was a nice dude. He had a gaggle of boys with him that slobbered all over him. It was super weird.
They just stood around telling him how good he looked, how nice his shirt was, even how good he smelled.
It was legit one of the weirdest things I’d ever witnessed. I thought it was a joke it was so weird.
