What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I went to my local Toyota dealer (A1 Toyota) and told them that I need blades for a 2012 Tacoma. They do sell a cheaper blade that is called Sightline or something like that. I did not buy those. Sorry I do not have a part number.

 

Sometimes the low pad indicator gets bent (rotating tires, off roading, etc). I would just bend it to where it is within 1/32" of the rotor face.

 

Just as my ‘08 Tacoma base truck turned over 416,000 miles one of the headlights went out so I just replaced both headlight bulbs.

 

Quick math with fingers and toes and that is about 30k a year, wow! That’s amazing. Just curious on if and when or how many times motor and trans have been rebuilt

finally installed the molle rack received from N minus 1. Now time to obtain from pouches and straps for my gear. Sound proofed it with silless 80 mm foil and then 157mm foam for sound. not the prettiest job but will work.

 

Smog day. Can't wait...

Hopefully those P codes stay dormant...

 

3 hours to change a simple alternator. Why would they burry that thing way down there. Big thanks to napa auto parts for delivering the alternator and battery to a rest area near Roger's mn

 

My daughters suv requires removing the front wheel drive passenger wheel and axle to access the alternator bolts. My daily grocery getter all wheel drive suv requires removing the right front tire, fender liner, crankshaft-a/c belt to change the serpentine belt. It also requires removing the entire cowl assembly to service or replace the battery.. All newer vehicles are engineered for dealer service and not owner service.

Merry Christmas to me. It's a sad day for my truck and my feelings.
Got hit by another driver who was in a hurry to get to a red light. Hit my rear wheel. Leaf pack if busted. Hopefully not anything with the axle. Wheel will need replacement. Rear panel buckled. Not sure of any other damage at this stage.

 

Damn dude.... that's my worse nightmare... at least the damage doesn't look too bad, best wishes for your truck.

Drove it from south central PA to New River Gorge Bridge in WV. Found a couple of unmaintained roads to explore in WV. Turned a 5 1/2 hr drive into about an 8 hr one. Gonna spend the next 2 or 3 days cruising through George Washington and Jefferson National forests.
