Was wondering the same thing, but I didn't know if they went beyond 1.93. The UT FAST that has built in irons has been unavailable for a while now. Any other options that include irons, or the ability to place a rear sight post in?

Correct it’s the unity fast mount, got lucky and picked it up first quarter of 2020. It’s the FDE version and it’s been painted a few times

it’s a great mount and very comfortable to shoot with or without nods on.

Crappy day at the range today, found out that my 509T plate has loosened yet again on my M&P, gonna contact CHPWS about it, they originally mounted it, it loosened within 200 rounds, and after I re-mounted it it only lasted another 350 or so. I think they milled the slide out of spec.

Also had a baffle strike in the optimus, actually 2 or 3. I think the Remington subsonics caused the issue, I’ve got about 150 rounds of rem subsonic through that upper and can combo and no issues until the first mag today.
These were the remnants pulled from the blast baffle area.

Most baffle strikes are from alignment issues of the stack, or direct thread loosening up. There would have to be one hell of a stability issue or the ammo severely under powered for the ammo alone to be causing the strikes I would think.

Taper mount system was tight when I removed the can, I haven’t checked alignment yet (doing that today) but everything is pointing to the ammo, the first baffle strike sounded like a squib, light report but he hit steel, but the hit on steel was way lighter than normal, like he just hit the edge of the plate. So we cleared the gun, pulled the bolt carrier, and checked the chamber/barrel and everything looked fine, so he loaded the mag back in the gun and fired a few more rounds without issue, then he had another round that sounded light, same process of checking the gun, and then put a few more rounds downrange before stopping because something didn’t feel right.

Alignment rod checked it out, no contact, baffle seems to be worn but fine.

Finally got my 17 designs upper from USPS. Now to decide what length barrel. I'm thinking 10.5" with a Cry Havoc QRB as this will be a backpack gin :D

Basically. It's a cool design, but I honestly had no need for it  If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have bought it to be honest. I've got it, so now I have to finish it :D

Yep, so slow it’s squibbing could definitely do it. The stability leaving the muzzle would be so bad it the bullet would try to tumble and smack around the stack.

How come the finish is different between the upper and lower? Both 17 Designs?

Both are 17 Designs. I assume their QC just isn't on par with the Aero stuff I have. It's not a big deal to be honest b/c I don't post pics of my guns on the gram or set them up for a "professional" photoshoot......so it'll be ok:rofl:

It's not quite as bad when the flash is off.
