Those are TJI joists. The benefit to those over 2x10s is you can get those the span of your house. If your house is 32’ front to back, you can order 32’ TJIs. Framing lumber does not come in that length. You would need 2- 2x10x18’ to cover the span overlapping in the middle on a beam…

Morning pa peeps. On the topic of osb two new developments went up near my house the first one my guess is section 8 housing they used osb ply on the outside of the homes/condos. The other development used plywood. I remember saying to my buddy doesn't osb expand when wet. They built those homes during the spring when it rained the most and was uncovered for the longest time. I know forsure they will be having issues with those homes is the new future.

20 ain't cold. It's not cold till I have to break out the bibs.

compare to the last few weeks of ice cap melting winter weather we've had, I'd disagree. Although this is the kind of weather I enjoy being out in the stand, to hell with deer hunting in the 50s.

Good morning all!

26 degrees on my way in to work this morning. Rode the motorcycle. Heated gear means I can ride year round provided the roads are clear.

 

This is all that comes to mind with motorcycle riding below 40 degrees. My bike stay parked for the winter LOL

 

Doors were frozen shut on my FRS this morning.

 

It's real damp and frosty here after all the rain we had here a few days ago. I had to clean my one outdoor camera, as it sits on the side of my house where there is a slight valley in my yard and the rain water just sits there.

 

Half my job is 36 degrees all year, some of it is -40.

The cold never bothered me anyway.

 

I've always ridden as much as possible and once I made the investment in heated gear that sealed it. Believe it or not I'm warmer most days riding the bike with heated liners under my winter riding gear than I would be if I took my truck. Bike is always stored in the garage and gear inside the house so it's already pretty warm. Truck sits out year round so when it's cold outside truck will be cold for several miles until it gets some heat in it. I'll ride as long as the roads are clear of snow, slush, or that brine PA likes to put down on the roads. That stuff is just too corrosive and hard to clean when it's cold out.

 

I had this app on my last phone, but I forget what it's called; Honest Weather, or Uncensored Weather? Something like that?

 

Feels like Winter Inside I just need to get the Chimney put together to have heat .
