I actually looked into what the difference between a pond and a lake is since we have "lakes" that are super small here. Turns out if plants can not grow over the entire surface of the body of water then its considered a lake. The lake they live on is very very deep, so no weeds. It used to be a farm long ago, but the land all sank and flooded. I really want to go out there with my magnets and kayak to see what I can find.
