    How old is this vehicle before all the rust showed up?

    It's possible they updated the CRC campaign and include these now. Do you have the other frame plugs already installed?

    @JohnnyRed

    My frame never had the CRC applied; my truck didn't fall into the timeframe.

    There were some plugs installed from the factory, but the dealer added enough plugs for every hole hole in the frame per the campaign instructions, I would say they installed at least 25+ plugs mostly in the boxed sections both sides inside and out

    As i said my truck has been Fluid 'Film since new.

    When my truck went in for the inspection April of 2021 the dealer did the latest procedure, drying the front frame, applying plugs as directed, installing a baffle both sides where the box section meets the C section.

    The shop manager said No Rust and how well the FF is protecting the frame, same day my truck was finished there was another Tacoma in the shop for the same inspection campaign also had FF applied so the shop manager had direct comparison to both trucks and was impressed how well they both looked.

    No corrosion /rust and pictures and certificate , no new frame frame was needed

    My frame was done by a local man in the group that we associate with in Connecticut he didn't do it this year because of covid he goes by @surfandturf turf on Hey Connecticut Board this year I did it myself with four cans just doing basically touch up and actually applying more than I needed to next year @surfandturf has indicated that he will be doing it again probably in the spring

    Late to the party but I need to do this. I have looked at these pics several times in the past but just realized today (I'm old) that it's not the big hole in the black metal piece (frame?) with the end of the bolt sticking out of it I'm trying to plug (pic in post #1) it's the one behind it in the green area: is that correct? I can't go out right now and crawl under there to look again because it's snowing here currently. I have had the CRC work done so they may have installed these plugs wherever they belong, but I doubt it.

    Correct. Your are essentially plugging the frame hole. Not the body mount itself.

    Thanks!! It hasn't sunk-in yet where it is exactly that I have to install it, but I'm sure when I get under there for a look with my bright head lamp it will click. I think that big hole in the frame bracket attached to the frame-rail is what is throwing me off. (big bolt end hanging down) What I do have going for me is I have seen those "free" body plugs in the floor under the carpet so I have an excellent reference.

    Does white lithium grease attack rubber? I have had to fight off the urge to spray Fluid-Film in the cavities around those cab mounts, but I have to resolve it before another winter up here. I wish I could just fill them with a whole can of that expanding foam stuff and trim off the excess. It's "miracle" stuff! (As in: it will be a miracle if you ever get it off your hands and clothes within your own lifetime.) Worse than Permatex Silver anti-sieze.
