You have adjustable front struts so unless you have a lot of weight on the front, you would raise the seat height. What seat height is it set to now?

These springs don't settle 1.5", so either it was measured before it was driven (after the truck was put on the ground), or the before and after measurements were taken wrong, or extra weight was added.

Rear height is dictated by the leaf pack used. What does "option 2" on those mean?

No, the coils on 6112 are a different style and size and won't fit on Dobinsons struts

I want to run a dobinsons coil on a bilstein strut, online it says that the dobinsons coil will work with a bilstein shock

On a 5100 that takes an OE style coil, yes, but a 6112 comes with it's own coils that are flat top and bottom with a different ID size - no

    Update:

Threw on the 220 struts with the 352 coils tonight. I’m at 40” ground to fender, 24” hub to fender. Will remeasure in a few days after I do the AAL and let everything settle.

It looks like my reservoir hose is going to rub on a few metal pieces. How did you guys protect yours?

Just got a similar setup. I definitely feel like I got heavier than needed because I’m planning for some more modifications. Hope it’s not too rough until then.

    Dobinsons C59-352 - (50mm-2.0") Heavy load front end (110-240lbs) / (60mm-2.4") Stock front end (x2)
Dobinsons FRONT SHOCKS GS59-221 - Twin tube, nitrogen charged, provides no extra lift (x2)
Dobinsons Front IFS Diff Drop Kit for Toyota Tacoma 4Runner and FJ Cruiser(DD59-527K) (DIFF DROP KIT, RECOMMENDED FOR 2.5" OF LIFT OR MORE) (×1)
Dobinsons REAR LEAF SPRINGS L59-111-R Raised Height (55mm Lift, 2.1"), Heavy Duty, 600LB constant load (x2)
Dobinsons REAR SHOCKS GS59-940 - Twin tube, nitrogen charged, suitable for 2-3" lift. (x2)
Dobinsons Greasable leaf spring bolt Kit for Toyota Tacoma and Tundra 2005 to 2018 and more(SP59-060) (x2)

    I didn’t order them with the similar dobinsons setup I just bought. I was under the impression anything 3” or below didn’t need them. I’m not going to have it installed for a bit. The shop I use did email me back and said this specifically regarding UCAs (note: I don’t buy the parts from them so they are not trying to sell me anything);

“The extra caster from the arms is nice when we get to the alignment side of it but I'm sure we can make it drive ok without.”

If you want enough caster that it isn't a chore to drive straight on the highway and bump steer doesn't yank the wheel off road then UCA will be a nice thing to have even at 2" of lift. 3" I'd consider them mandatory.

I did a similar dobinsons 3” lift on my 5th gen 4Runner and didn’t do UCAs. Never had any issues with it driving straight or being hard to drive. Granted they are different vehicles. I will think about it I guess.

Your lower cam adjustment bolts actually have a decent amount of movement in them on the tacos. If you don't off-road or go with massive tires, up to a 3-in lift can be done without upper control arms

Depends what you define necessary as for yourself. For me, yes. The extra caster allows the 33.2” tires to not rub with a good alignment and no CMC even at full stuff and lock with spacers

I've got 314 coils on GS59-221 struts so about 2" of lift with 265/70R17 Wildpeak AT3W's. No UCA's and it drives straight as an arrow at any speed.
