Thoughts on these? Saw them on princess auto’s site. Seems like a great deal

 

The snatch block is supposed to be used with steel winch rope and steel shackles only.

 

Depending on how you feel about Amazon, you can get cheaper shackles that won't be any different

 

I have used the snatch block for synthetic and it is fine. Biggest thing from my research is to ensure you only use the snatch block with either steel cable or synthetic and not switch. So far so good.
I did search for synthetic specific ones and they looked similar

The snatch block isn’t meant for synthetic shackle so I do use a steel shackle. I am sure you can smooth out the edges to have less abrasion or use a tree saver or something.
