ah, yes! But THE thread you are referring to also mentions hikari, eyes of megatron, as a upgrade from stock and a highly rated LED replacement.

 

So long as one puts in the effort to properly align the bulbs so that they actually put light where it is supposed to go rather than burning oncoming retinas.

EDIT: Come to think of it, the same thing should be done every time one of us changes the right-height or leveling of our vehicles.

 

Just ordered Me-So Customs Total Tail Stage 1 lights for my OR DCLB that is scheduled to be built on January 3.

 

Ripped my month-old ADS 2.5's off to get sent back for a revalve. Way too stiff on the road even @ full soft.

 

Gave the ole girl a bath and cleaning.

 

I got my VF Tuner setup, flashed my ECU via TechStream, and loaded up the KDMax Pro tune from @PapaRee. I'm only a couple days in on the tune but initial impressions are REALLY good.

 

Wrap looks sick. Been wanting the same pattern on my interior. Cool to see it here. Was it hard? Wondering if I’m capable of doing the same lol. Love the display & door handle surround.

 

Got tuned yesterday. Makes my daily driver ride great! I can mindlessly hold my speed on the highway. Merging is effortless. I was previously dreading my 11-hr drive to see my parents in Ft. Lauderdale for Christmas. Now I can't wait to see how the big boy rides for the trip. Thanks, @Stormpeacock! If you're in the Atlanta area, he's your dude.

Busy day today had some new cooper discoverer AT3s 4S installed and now am out getting remote start installed befor it gets to cold here in NY

 

What springs are you runnning 650 or 700lbs?

Looks good! What's your tie to the Continental Divide Trail, I need one of those! I rode all of it on my mountain bike so it's got a special spot in my life, such a beautiful route, deserves a road trip in a Taco.

 

14" 650 lb springs.

It's not a spring issue, its a damping issue. They need to soften the initial part of the stroke.

 

Just installed FN Wheels Fx Pros 16x8 on my 285/75R16 TOYO Open Country A/T III’s with the Gorilla black spline extended lugs. They turned out great. I would’ve went with the TRD Pros but I wanted the pattern that was only offered on the 17” so Dustin came through with these and for less $. I definitely recommend FN Wheels. Dustin is a stand up guy and he will take care of you. Now I got some trimming to do because they rub at full articulation.

Just got my Tacoma! I’ve heard it needs a tune right off the lot, but I couldn’t believe the magnitude of highway performance loss from getting slightly heavier wheels and bigger tires (bigger and heavier than OEM, but still smaller than 32”). I’m glad to hear there’s hope for keeping it at a steady highway speed. Now that I’ve got 1000 miles on it, I can’t wait to get a tune.

 

Gotta remember, rotational weight has a larger impact than static sprung weight. I'm not ready to purchase them yet, but I'm doing research to find lighter wheel and tire combos that won't fold like a house of cards when getting within sneezing distance of an off-road trail. Gonna have to pay a premium for the best of both worlds though.
