If you're fortunate enough, there may even be an indicator in your door panel to let you know when it's locked...technology ain't cheap.

Just saw it and thought with the crazy used truck prices I would flip my Tacoma. Luckily it had a huge markup and decided to pass. I would rather get another 4Runner. I’m over it now. The main reason I want one is to buy our camping trailer that the Tacoma won’t tow and travel the west.

Add on another $30k for the camping trailer. Don’t wanna go down the RABBIT HOLE!!!!!

I would hesitate to spend $34k on something that only has 3/5 rating

    Ha…
My wife wants a big trailer of 5,000-8,000lbs to bring the entire family. She doesn’t get the Tacoma can’t tow it. Just because it can tow 6,400 doesn't mean to buy a 6,000lb camper and fill it with gear and drive 5,000 miles. I towed in the mountains with my 2015 tacoma with a 5x7 enclosed loaded and it didn’t like it! Lol

For sure. For 5K, you're going to want a full size. For an 8K trailer, you're going to want a diesel.

I'm interested in an A-frame pop-up. They make some that have a roof rack for the Kayaks. :)

The taco (with manual) tows pretty well but the part that sucks is fuel range. You’ll basically be stopping every 150-200 miles. I always carried an extra 10 gallons with me.

My tundra I can get 300+

My boss has a 42’ toy hauler. He was overweight with his f250 and had to get a f450 dually lol

    I told him that’s not a camper, that’s a house.

    Bucket List!
I told her once I buy a large truck I’m headed to Alaska and back on a 3 week vacation .

6,400 mile rd trip. I don’t want to use a Tacoma. It will struggle. I want the trip enjoyable. FYI Google says 2 days!!! Lol it took 2 solid days to get to Reno, Nevada with2 women in the truck wanting to stop 10 minutes after you pass the rest area. Probably a 7 day drive each way for us.

    Would.

Been dreaming about Alaska. It was my dad's dream to take us and he never got the chance.

Expedition overland's trips to AK made it more of a desire to go.

An alaska trip is the entire reason I bought my tundra. Then 2020 happened lol

I’ve been planning for a 3-6 week trip depending on how long I can get away from work.
