Who’s ready for Lower Mainland Christmas Snow?

In reality we're only halfway up there lol, but always tons of snow. Did the floods affect you much?

 

I’m running Falken Wildpeak AT3’s the last winter and thus far. I can’t find anything to complain about.

This year I have a Smartcap and a lift. We will see how it does.

 

We have loads to in cache creek

 

Normal amount of snow in the West Kootenays. Paulson and Strawberry passes were no fun a week ago in the snow and should be getting slammed again in the next few days.

 

Who loves going to the dealer and having them put in a new air filter and cabin filter at 15K on the truck?

not me….

I know they need/want to make money, but let’s be replacing thing that require it.

….sigh.

 

Not to mention those are easy to replace on your own haha. How much did they charge? Just curious..

 

82 and tax. … or 65 parts and 16 for install. So the pricing is not mental and I didn’t have to spend the time doing it which is fine Xmas week.

but I like charcoal impregnated cabin filters and I almost wanna move to a K&N cabin.

safe to say… next time.

I only said yes to the filters as I thought the platinum warranty which “includes first three services” would include all recommendations.

but that is coming from someone who has had Audi Care in the past. Shoulda known I guess.

 

Just had my 15k done last month. All was good no in-cab or engine air filter changed. Every dealership is slightly different I guess.

 

Yeah its not horrible for price. For the cabin filter I use bosch filters, you can find them on rockauto.com. They have carbon air filters on there too but I haven't seen any k&n ones.

The air filter is up to you idk if you ride stock filter or not but I have the AFE pro dry S and its a reusable filter that you have to clean every now and again but just found out the toyota shop here will clean it too if thats what you're into. Also different gen trucks so idk if the filter is the same

Oh man…. When you get into 4L, and then MTS for the first time you have owned your rig… and boom … that front camera and pitch graph come onto the Entune screen.

I think I giggled like my 3 year old… she said daddy… you sound like me.

 

It may be the driveway… but again… awesome when you play with a feature you rarely get to.

 

Saw a white 3rd gen on its roof in the median of highway 1 just outside Abbotsford this afternoon. Looked like it had been there a day or two. Hope it was none of you and that everyone involved is okay.
