So, today I saw my first TRD Pro badge on a Tacoma that was not a Pro (was an off-road).

Personally, when I bought my truck, I was ill informed and went with a Sport. You live and you learn. After doing a lot of research, I was frustrated with myself knowing I could have gotten a Pro. But even so, never did it cross my mind to add a Pro badge to a non-Pro Tacoma.

I'm not here to tell people what to do or what not to do with their truck, but rather to ask a question:

If you don't have a Pro, why do you decide to purchase a Pro badge to add it to a non-Pro vehicle?

What makes you think it was an OR and not a Pro? My neighbor bought a new Pro recently that came with OR bedsides. Could that be throwing you off?

Bro, that's the least of my worries. Considering how many auto zone chrome decked out tacos I see here in LA. Couple even have a tonneau cover with a bolt on spoiler like a Honda ricer.

Not as bad as the badges that mimic the pro badges and get stuck in the spot where pro badges go and from afar look like the pro badging but actually say off road or sport when you are able to read it.

I put a Ferrari badge on mine.
‘WHeN dID fERrAri MaKe A TrUcK!?’ the poors always ask at the gas station [where I fill up only with 91 or 94 when available].
“It’s a one-off” I reply as I hammer the throttle and powerslide into the street… so they get a good look at the TURBO badge on the tailgate.

Next April Fools day I plan on buying a knockoff TRD Pro badge and putting it on my dad's ridgeline and maybe my buddy's WRX

I frequently put those trashy mobile headstone "In Loving Memory of..." stickers on random peoples rear windows just to make myself laugh thinking about their reaction, like, "WTF is this?!"

Lmao, I wonder why people do it too. It's as bad as the guys in base Chargers and Challengers putting Hellcat badges on them.

It's always so weird.. because the people who would care can easily spot that it's fake.. and the people who can't spot that it's fake.. don't care.

To each his own!. Friend of mine had a Nissan and put the Pro 4x graphic on it. Whatever floats your boat.

My sport still has the stock decals on the bed and that won't change. I did like the looks of the 2020 tacoma pro wheels better so I bought them and sold the stock sport wheels. Looks better but it's still a sport.

As an SR5 guy, I crack up when I see the "SR5 Off Road" sticker. All of these trucks have the same guts where it counts and you can do what you want to make the rig your own, but honestly - your money is better spent elsewhere on the truck than changing the badging.

Now excuse me while I install my blackout overlays that just showed up from FedEx.

Same here. I went with the 4Runner Pro wheels though, but for the same reason. Liked the gloss gunmetal much better than the OEM Sport wheels. But we do have the Scoop :)
