Looking to upgrade my bulbs from stock to LED bulbs. Been looking at the Tacoma Beast plug and play set for my Highbeams/Lowbeams. Any recommendations?

I like the auxbeam LED bulbs I had. Fit like OEM and output was way better than stock halogen. Got them off Amazon. Morimoto sells great bulbs too

IMO don't waste your time with leds in these housings. I was less than thrilled with my Morimoto 2 Stroke 3.0's. I hear the Hikari's outperform these on this platform but I don't have first hand experience with them. The Mori's have been great in every other vehicle I've used them in, just not in these housings. Run HID or retrofit to RX350 projectors.. and then run HID in those.

FWIW, a properly designed led is designed to be used as a halogen replacement, but a simple led swap is still nowhere as powerful as an hid in the same housing. Toyota projectors generally do pretty well with an HID with minimal glare to oncoming traffic, so long as they're aimed properly.

All that being said, I got fed up with the stock lighting pretty quickly and swapped housings to the Morimoto XB-led gen2's. They're amazing for a pnp setup - even better than the stock led option.

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,
Stay with the stock type bulbs. There are multiple options for "brighter" bulbs with the same wattage or slightly higher.

Plunking LED into the existing lenses will not work very well. The bulb needs to be at the correct location inside the reflector, specifically the focal length of the reflector. The LED bulbs won't land at the focal length. Meaning, the light beam will be poorly formed and won't illuminate the field in front of the truck.

FWIW, I changed to a Sylvania SilverStar bulb at 55W. It isn't the best bulb on the market, but it was a significant improvement. My low beams will reflect off signs 1/4 mile distant. My vision field has been extended.
