Favorite Whiskey?

Henry McKenna has become one of my fave’s

 

Any one tried these?? Were recommended by another person.

 

Cool bottle with the Willet pot still. It tasted like pickle juice/dill to me and I couldn't finish it. I can't find my empty bottle - I think my other half swiped it and hid it somewhere because it's so cool.

 

Pickle Juice....can't wait to crack it open in a couple of days.

 

Hearing this, earlier in the thread, is literally keeping me from buying this bottle

I taste a lot of rye behind the corn. It's basically a rye to me and sits next to my Whistlepigs and stuff. Not my favorite but don't mind it at all.

 

I bought a bottle of the Kentucky Vintage when I visited the distillery a couple years ago because they said it wasn't available outside of Kentucky.
I got home and saw it at my local liquor store.

It was good though. I liked it.

 

I enjoy the Willet. Just finished one.

 

Toured Willet, very cool small distillery. Their Rowan’s Creek, Noah’s Mill and that Kentucky Vintage are good. The fancy bottled one there is their flagship. It’s got a damn awful aftertaste in my opinion. I wouldn’t say pickle juice, more stinkbug/persimmon.

I like the Kentucky Vintage. They also make Johnny Drum and Pure Kentucky, all very good for price point.

The bottle is pretty rad, I just doubt I could make it through one.

 

cracked the fancy Willit bourbon and not impressed. Can’t recommend it at all

Now this bottle is yummy!!!!!

 

That Noah’s Mill is great cold. Got a sweetness to it that ain’t there at room temperature.
