Looks good and I think your doing the right thing with the 3” block in the back. Without a notch and a 4” block you won’t like carrying weight.

Looks good! Good call for the extra inch if you are hauling heavy loads.

What 3" drop coils are you running up front and how do they ride compared to prior?

I was running 245/45/17's without issues on 17x8 +45 offset. Now I am running the 265/35/18's and still no issue on my drop:

Thanks! And it was a 3/4 kit from eBay from eBay seller jmxautosports.
The truck doesn’t ride too bad besides bumps, humps, and railroad tracks but that’s expected lol. It does ride better than before on flat road but I think that’s also bc I replaced shocks and ball joints.
I was on the highway today cruising (first time on highway, I’ve only started driving the truck 300 miles ago) and it felt really good.
I still need to get an alignment done but no shop open till after Christmas and I’m waiting on my new tie rod ends to come in.
I like your truck 2runner! Well I can see some marks around the edge of the rear tires which I’m sure is from rubbing when I hit bumps

My wheels are mustang cobra wheels I believe from a 1999-2002. They are 17x8 but idk what the offset is. When I look it up online it all says between 35mm-50mm.
Here’s the scrape marks on my rear tires

That is an option. I’ve never rolled fenders before or know anyone around here that does.

    Thanks for the info guys!
I’m gonna leave fenders alone till after the belltech blocks get installed and go from there. I’m hopeful the truck won’t rub and I’m planning on switching tires to 225/45/17 (overall height of 24.97”) compared to what I have now 245/45/17 (25.68”)
I previously mentioned I wanted 275 in the back.. this is my daily now for gas mileage so now I’m trying to be more practical lol

I flipped my ball joints back to stock this morning to reduce the bump steer. It ended up being to high so I flipped them back. #styleovercomfort

Would you think putting the stock springs back and doing ball joint flip would result in a less bumpy ride than aftermarket springs?
One thing that’s bugged me since I did the drop was how harsh it feels going over small bumps while cruising. It’s got me debating on switching to 16s so I can get more sidewall in..

Yes but you might develop some nasty bump steer which is where I am now. Best bet which I will be doing is custom drop spindles and you can run stock springs and be about 2 or 3 in lower. Ride will be like stock and no bump steer. They cost about $500.

That would be nice but I’m probably not gonna go that far with it. I’d actually like to have a single cab 5 spd in the future
So Amazon dropped off my belltech blocks this morning! Let’s see if the wife lets me install them today :D if not, I’ll report back in a couple days lol

    What’s everyone’s thoughts on 205/50/17 tires as opposed to 225/45/17 on a 17x8 rim?

If your concerned about the height and width of the tire go to you can compare both sizes side by side so you know if it would be what you would like

I use the wheel calculator here on tacomaworld. I do like more sidewall of 205/50/17 bc I would hope it will benefit me more on bumps and railroad tracks? here’s a side by side I found

True it may sit a bit higher and you may experience more rubbing

Right now I have 245/45/17. The tires came with the rims when I bought them. Even after I swap out the 4” blocks with the 3” blocks I’m gonna change tires too. Just trying to see which is better without additional modifications.
