I wish to thank everyone for the advice. I really mean a lot to me. I have pondered the last day or 2 the words spoken. I had a meeting with a member of the Governor's cabinet who is my boss. There are things happening with the current administration that I just don't agree with. I will be talking with the wife this week and moving forward with my life. I have plenty to do. I volunteer with troubled youth twice a week and can do that more often now. I got a call again from a friend that wants me to help with his remodeling company. I enjoy doing that. I have kids that always need help in their homes. Thanks again everyone. It may not be this month but for sure by spring.

Well, while the alignment is getting done...

I'm entertaining myself with the sounds and how to replace videos of front wheel bearing replacement! I heard a sound yesterday, and today, enough to identify. Well, sheets!

Well, I guess these shiny new bolts will have some shiny new company shortly....

Yep, it sounds like that... Almost expect a backfire when letting off the gas! Sound has quietly been masquerading as tire noise up to this week.

I guess some shiny Dorman replacement assemblies will go in next week!

Going to Dammeron Valley, Utah for Christmas to be with our good friends and extended family. Flying to Las Vegas tomorrow morning and they will pick us up for the 2+ hour drive to their place. They have some acreage and a few horses. Looking forward to doing a little riding. Also they are at almost 5000’ and I’m hoping for snow and a white Christmas. Due to Covid we spent last Christmas by ourselves. We are really looking forward to this. I’ll be checking in here periodically. Anyway I hope all you porch peeps have a very wonderful and merry Christmas. God bless.

Heading to Ocala this afternoon to spend Christmas with my in-laws. This trip is going to be epic. Wife, dog, luggage, cooler full of food, about 60 wrapped presents and me all in her Audi Q5 and a soft car top carrier. I messed with the carrier for a couple hours yesterday to see how it would work with the Audi roof rack and finally gave up and said I’ll figure it out when the time comes. We’ll, the time has come and I am a little nervous that we may have to resort to “plan B” which is all this stuff loaded in the Taco. My wife asked if I was sure the truck would make the 180+ mile round trip. I told her I was as sure as I could be the truck would be fine but I was even more sure that she and the dog would be extremely uncomfortable and hating on me the whole time. A little background, my wife hates the truck. In the 3 years I’ve owned it she has sat in it exactly twice, once when I brought it home and she sat in the passenger seat, looked around and walked away mumbling something about it being “so f*ing red” and another when the key fob battery died for her car so I had to take her in the truck to a doctor’s appointment about 10 miles away. I really need to make this work with the Audi. I’m concerned that the soft car top carrier should not rest on the panoramic sun roof so I’m thinking some 3/8” plywood on a 1x2 frame inside the carrier to keep it suspended between the roof rack cross bars. Like I said, this is going to be epic, either way.

Kevin: LOL :D I read your post and my wife hates my EX Cab. 2WD but it gets me where I want to go. Have fun on Vacation.

I believe My pellet grill is now fixed. I installed the parts from Weber yesterday and it is operating the way it should. On a scale of 1 to 10 this was a five but if I had a helper, it would be a 2. Weber recommends a regear screwdriver, a Phillips head driver, 5/116&7/16 open wretch, and Weber supplied a T20 Allen wrench that was useless. Enclosed is a pic of the tools I actually used to make the job easier. What is not shown is a screw holder that turned out to be the most important toll for reattaching the pellet chute to the pellet hopper.

Might be a Tappy thing, LOL, but I was using it more for finesse not brute force. Anywho it worked. Have a great Christmas Mike!

:pccoffee: Good Moring Porch People! Sun's back out, and we start our climb to 80+* for Christmas!

Hey Kevin, :worthless:. Maybe you could get some real good suggestions from the peanut gallery! I have a hard shell, and the things I have done to attach to miscellaneous racks over time are nothing short of epic!

Tom, and Mike - I will make sure to have both a tappy thing and BFH on record when the bearings come. Something to do after Christmas! I have a saying - "You can't do just one thing!". And since we only got the front shocks done last Saturday, the bearing have presented themselves.

    That's life! o_O Have a great Hump-Friday!

211,600 this week. I got it fall 2018 with 190K.
The records I have access to don't show any replacement. So, the mileage, and running the 17" and the front end weight without the good shocks....not a huge surprise.
