    I am so tired of the hood prop. Really shitty move on Toyotas part not to have them as an OEM gas strut. Next to no delay wipers on my SR this is the worst LOL

    Just installed mine the other night, and install was easy and fast.

    On my 2nd gen, I had installed Redline, and had to deal with the rivets, buying a rivet gun, taping, measuring 3x to ensure everything was to spec.

    The sokie tech definitely eased my stress levels to none, and I'm happy I can take them off easily if I end up not liking them. They also lift the hood higher than with the prop it came with from factory.

    You know I'm old enough to remember clock spring hood holder uppers on old Detroit iron that often broke and gas struts that slowly lowered the hood down on your head. Might be a different story if I had a old clunker that I had to check the oil or some thing else every other day. Even at 75 I'm still able to hold the hood up by my self with one hand and put the rod in!

    My issue is the opening angle is so tight. That makes work and dealing with my onboard air a bit of a pain. More of a luxury than anything.
    Add a very windy day with the hood proper open while airing back up and I'd rather have the gas strut.

    I have the Redlines too but I didn't use rivets. I used self tapping screws. Install was fast and easy.
