9 Months? That is awesome you got your kit, but kinda bitter sweet about the delay.

I dont think they need to go out of business. The kit itself is exceptional. However, they could improve communication etc. Maybe stop taking orders until they get caught up. The problem with 6 to 9 month delays is that so many other components are required to get this complete, and by the time you have obtained everything you end up waiting for the actual kit and it is too late to change course and return all the other parts.

    A whole lot
Hey guys, wanted to pop over here and post our setup using the RCLT HD Kit on our Ultra4 4600 racecar w/ Sherpa Motorsports. We only have two races on the kit so far being we installed it in September, but it's been holding up great and we are loving the ground clearance and ride this kit has provided. Compared to our Total Chaos +3.5 kit we used to have this is much more suited for the racing we do and the beefed-up spindle is a major confidence boost when pushing hard. Excited to have it for 2022 King of the Hammers.

Here is the old setup. This is Total Chaos +3.5 with the 200 Series Rack, custom double sheer heim steering on factory knuckles and custom shock mounts top and bottom.

For all the whiny little ladies in here; have you not noticed any other supply chain issues in the world lately.. if you can't wait patiently ( I know it is hard as this looks super baller!! ) you could just go order a new Jeep or ZR2 or Raptop hehehehehehe

LMAO. Marlin has had "supply chain issues" since way before anyone else. They are notorious for it. Which is why they get shit about it. Fanboy much?

This thread had me extremely excited about long travel for trails around here. Too bad Marlin fell through on the communication end of things. Worked out for the best though as a JD 2.25” kit and other JD goodies have been top notch. I was prepared to wait a while, but since I went with Fox I had everything within a couple months and the JD stuff wasn’t the bottleneck.

Great communication with Harry and JD. Answered any questions, quick to offer advice without all the fluff. Could not be happier with the whole experience and I smile every time I hit the dirt or something gnarly on my commute haha. I don’t think anyone has raved about Marlin’s customer service, but you’ll be hard pressed to find something negative about JD’s.

It took 6 months to get my kit, and I am bitter about that and the lack of any follow up support with installation issues, but the kit is exceptional. The marketing is a bit misleading. Yes you dont need to do a cab mount chop, but getting the full travel out of 37s takes a bit of cutting.

We had issues with the steering rack. Had to machine down the marlin supplied bushing to fit. The steering shaft requires engine mount / frame cutting to clear. The UCA is so beefy that it hits the strut remote reservoir fitting hose, so routing that has been a challenge, but we aren't running normal coilovers, so that is to be expected. The inner fender clearance is the last main issue, but I am seeing some people skip this and just limit up travel.

    I agree.

Spends thousands on a long travel kit just to have less uptravel than stock. Makes absolutely no sense.

I guess they are excited to get running and clearancing can be a scary, unknown, and time consuming operation. There are few places for guidance as to what and where to cut, how to reinforce that, etc.
