There was a previous cam? I'm mostly confused about having the camera to begin with.

Yes. And I didn’t like how the previous cam was mounted with two screws and no bracket.

Had to look up a video to explain why this is actually useful. Eh, ok, neat.

Put in one of my solar panels today in a temporary setup to see how it works.

I stuck it at the top of the windshield to see how it looked, was not too happy with it so I moved it to the bottom of the windshield.

Yeah, bottom is definitely better. It doesn't obstruct FoV that isn't already obstructed by the hood.

Yep, Now I just need to put a power port plug inside the cab so I dont have to run the solar panel there all the time plugged in. Thinking of just putting a plug in the side of the center console, that way its out of the way, but easy to get to.

Yeah it could fit pretty much anywhere up there. I think putting it on the passenger side would be the best place for it, but until I get a port inside the cab I am limited by how long the cord on the panel is.

My first thought is under the dash, facing down and hidden, right next to the door.

Nope no sunroof. Though if I did it would totally become a solar panel since I dont like sunroofs.

Thats one spot I was thinking, but I want to make sure the wires hanging from it dont get in my way if I leave it in while driving. The best option would be just to have a plug sticking up from where the factory tweeter is mounted.

That could work too. How about just hardwire it with an inline switch either on the left or center switch cluster?

I have a bunch of those, in fact I have one in my wheel well already for plugging in a charger on those real cold nights.

Right now its hardwired in, but I like the idea of being able to remove the panel and put it away when its not needed. Also if the panel fails (their not really high quality) I dont want to have to take everything apart to rewire it.
