That's funny Eldin. I was the only guy who put a fish in the boat this day. Two years ago this month. My hasn't called me to go fishing since. Hmmm.

 

Snook are actually my favorite and those big gags aren't that good eating anyway.

Maybe "Albino Trout"? Where the heck did that come from...a farm, perhaps?

I've caught the actual "Golden Trout" in the Golden Trout Wilderness headwaters. It's a little guy but absolutely beautiful!

 

Is that a big 'cuda or a smaller Wahoo? Nice feesh, either way!

Goldens are insanely colorful. In the headwaters of the upper Kern, I caught them in a creek only about 3-4' wide in Horeshoe Meadow. Their olive colored back makes them nearly impossible to see even if you're looking straight down on them. Blew me away the first time I went up there. I've not yet attempted to catch them on the lower Kern, yet. I'm not a big trout fisherman these days. Mostly do offshore fishing here on the central coast and tons of bass fish out of my bass boat.

 

I’ve been getting into fishin more this last year or so, helps with easing some ptsd I’m dealing with. Trout is so beautiful, gonna try to get in some fly fishing soon, but got some nice smallies that are so fun to catch!
