Made my last payment on my truck today. Now only a little more than a year left on my wife’s car!

Like I said....if it the $79 one from HF, and you want to offload it afterwards, I would gladly take it off your hands for you. When I was doing mine, I couldn't find one in 100 mile radius....No one had one in stock other than the floor model that they wouldn't sell me.

Rounded the back nut on my front strut tower while installing bilstein 5100s. so now I get the privilege of cutting it off:cool:

    Try a pipe wrench first.

You can also try a hammer and chisel.

Haven’t heard of that one! Is the goal to break all the corrosion loose?

If it’s a tight space you can use a smaller size wrench but extend the handle with a pipe or do the same with vise grips. Short of cutting it off you can also re-grind two flats or even all 6 and use a different size socket. A nut splitter is still an option.

Narrowed my Rhino Rack Pioneer platform by 14.5" and mounted the slats closer together. Also made some rails out of 1 1/2x1/8 aluminum angle. Need to pick up some aluminum rectangle tubing to finish up the mounts. Now, I will have a dry spot for tools/jumper cables/straps/misc that will keep floor space open and allow room for my second water barrel up front when I move sites.

Slightly off center can get it to turn. I don’t like using a hammer on parts that aren’t being replaced(the bolt studs) if I can help it though. If it all goes to then wail away on it.

I have used external torx sockets to remove those also. Just have to hammer it down on the nut to get a good bite.

Just left HF. The website says it’s in stock but they don’t have any and the person said nobody in CT has them. They’re expecting some Tuesday.
