Hey guys, haven’t been riding much since I’ve been in Reno for school. Trails in town that are actually marked are crap compared to south mountain in Phoenix. Northstar was fun a couple days. Fires made most of Tahoe unridable while it was still warm out. And I’m not one to go ride in 30 degrees

I’m back in Phoenix and took the bike in to the shop to have them look at the dropper, which is shot. I go back to reno in 3 weeks. Parts will be 6 week lead time. New dropper would be 300 ish and he’s not sure when they’ll get it in…

2019 giant trance 2 30.9 mm post. Anyone have a dropper lying around that could work? Kinda lost on what to do since I’m trying to baby along this bike since I’m looking to upgrade in the next year or so. Also bummed I’ll have to ride in Phoenix with broken dropper cus The trails are really all I was looking forward to over winter break lol.

Why not just buy a good condition but used dropper off of Pink Bike?

Lots of options that are well under $300

Currently looking into that actually, so many on pinkbike I’ve noticed are Canada only and having 30.9 mm post restricts options a lot. That’s probably what I’ll have to do though. For time and moneys sake

The link I posted is for 30.9 droppers, filtered to US only.

No offense to our brethren in the great white north. I just tend to filter those listings out as I don’t want to hassle with customs, etc.

I'd go PNW or OneUp if they're in stock!

Mobile links don’t work the same I guess, and yea I filtered out Canada since most won’t ship to USA anyway

Use the desktop version, for some reason the filters don't work on mobile.

Lever+cable and cable tubing stuff shouldn’t be a ton right?

    https://m.pinkbike.com/buysell/3224353/

Read a write up by pinkbike on this dropper and they said it doesn’t snap into place the fastest but I’m okay with that if that’s part of saving money.

    not enough.
I'd +1 on oneup or PNW. PNW is probably the more budget friendly option of the two. GREAT droppers new. if you can get your hands on them.

Housing is sub-$1/ft and a shift cable is another couple bucks. Should be cheap to pick up the missing pieces.

This. Usually cheapest to go through LBS for both but PNW has both for $15

Got tracking info on Monday, but delivery date is still pending. I really don’t care for FedEx in general.

Haha I didn’t even know you could see what was supposedly coming in each box ahead of time. I operate blind on each box.

Today was a great day riding in Florida while the weather at home was firmly planted in fatbike range.

shout out to @Dr. Doom Says for the opportunity to tag along with a local… cool dude in real life.

I got all that last time around. Def hopeful that the contents are different. Really wouldn’t be too jazzed to get a duplicate box to what I’ve already received.
