    they support OBDII codes if you program them in (or something like that) but they're not OBD emissions legal.

    You will have a perfect AFR all the time with much better timing numbers and a much better power curve.

    Haltech has its own system that will throw a check engine light that shows up normal on the dash but you use the computer to see what the light, code is and to clear it

    8 months ago or so I stumbled across the haltech and the 3.4.
    Didn’t know anything about it.
    I searched google and forums and ran across SNPSPEED.
    Even there I didn’t find much for results.
    I saw the packages he sells and the custom harnesses me makes for the 1st gens.

    I rolled the dice because I could not find anyone that could give me results with the haltech and the 3.4 supercharged.

    my biggest frustration was with my methanol my AFR were never consistent and I had to be consistently monitoring the system and making adjustments.
    And my open loop power coming on at 3k on day and another day at 4k.
    It has its own mind when it wants to kick in. Now that power comes on instantly with a perfect AFR that is set.

    So I’m putting this info out there so others can see if it fits for them.
    It’s definitely the silver bullet for a perfect tune with full support and tuning your truck.
    The power is in your tune!
    With the haltech you can control EVERY aspect of your ECU, from timing to fuel map to injectors, multiple maps, no MAF to deal with or open loop closed loop to fight with and
    is the state of the art with full support , not some 20 year old CD 7th injector setup with limited functionality and little support.
    The 2 dyno graphs I showed on top of each other we’re done back to back, one with the haltech, one with the stock ECU 5 minutes apart and the truck still was not tuned at 100 percent.
    It is expensive so it’s not for everyone but wish I had known about this option years ago.

    I’m doing the leg work on what to do and not do and what works best here.

    Your 3.4 turbo or supercharged will run the best it ever has with a haltech! No if ands or buts.

    I feel for you man. Emissions testing and inspections tie your hands on what you can do legally for sure. I feel very fortunate that Washington State stopped all that shit as of 1/1/2020. I have already deleted the upstream CAT and it allows me to do the Haltech without having to worry about it. Eventually, I may delete the downstream CAT too. It is the last 'restriction' in my exhaust system.

    The swapping is easy. It’s getting all the monitors to set after. The aftermarket cats are meh. Take FOREVER to set catalytic monitor.


    I’m trying to figure out what loop hole I managed to find with my 05 tundra. Still never needed emissions to get plates since I’ve owned it

    So why don't you just use the test pipe then swap back for testing=15 minutes or less,
    I'm not sure what monitors you have besides 2 cat sensors plugs down stream,
    If its those they can be tied off removed and a plugged for the holes with a bolt

    The catalytic monitor happens during a drive cycle. Usually takes 80-100 miles. But with my cats being border line for a while now they would usually take 1-2k miles to set the monitor

    Stuff and junk and things...
    It's not a PWM fuel pump so when the truck is running the pump is running at 12V and full volume all the time. Key on engine off will cycle the pump until a ignition signal is present. The regulator is what is setting the rail pressure.

    Again it's not wrong to run a high LPH pump and will keep the fuel cooler in theory but for the 300ish HP that this engine with a small pulley puts out a 165+LPH pump is sufficient.

    This is a great explanation of volume VS pressure.

    Hopefully January I will get a new dyno done after the methanol map is tuned.
    The haltech strongest improvement is the new power in the lower rpm’s that comes on right away.

    Can someone more experienced then me rate these rotors:

    I found an old guy who doesn't want his gen 1 supercharger any more due to him being old. He said it's mine for a really really good price. I'm just wondering how these Rotors look cause it does have 370k miles on it.
