    Good morning all over 50. I purchased an oil pressure gauge and confirmed what I feared. the 1998 Tacoma 2.7 3RZ FE engine that I rebuilt is definitely showing low oil pressure. There are unspeakable things that I have done to this engine like balance shaft delete and EGR delete. The oil pressure gauge reads 50 PSI when Cole and goes down to less than 4 PSI when the oil gets hot. The work to rebuild this engine is not too extensive and in the maintenance world it is said that the same task gets easier when you repeat it. I will drop the oil pump front cover and have a look there. I did experience initial trouble getting the oil to circulate. I expect another engine tear down.
