Met up with Arnold in Fullerton. He needed upgraded to the Pro tune with 5.29 gears he just added. Good seeing you again Arnold. You should be dialed in nicely with the Pro tune with 5.29 settings. Enjoy the tune!

Ryan came in this afternoon to get his 2018 tuned up with KDMAX-PRO tune. We added AGM settings to go with his new Optima Battery. Good talking with you Ryan enjoy the Pro tune!

What are the AGM settings?

 

It is for AGM marine batteries. It changes the charging output of the alternator. AGM batteries require a higher charging output to keep them properly maintained.

Dale came back in to get his 2017 2 wheel drive upgraded to KDMAX-Pro. The stock trucks really perform great with the new Pro tune just a complete blast to drive!

Marlon came in this evening with his 2016 with 5.29 gears tuned him up with KDMAX-Pro 5.29 with sport throttle. Good meeting you Marlon the Pro tune and 5.29 gears are really going to wake up that sleepy Tacoma for sure! Enjoy the tune let me know how you like it!

Hi Dave,

The upgrade to KDMAX-Pro has been GREAT so far. It is everything you said.

Smoother shifting, even better gas mileage (on my first tank so far) and at initial movement (forwards or backwards) it is more predictable. I have an uphill parking spot (and too much stuff in my garage.) I need to creep into my parking space, and now it is easier to control.

I'm pretty much bones stock with respect to performance accessories, and everything is even better than the original KDMAX (I was already happy with the KDMAX, not I am even happier!)

Thank you for the great service and your patience explaining the software options to me. You are very professional and I have told all my friends.

Larry @lardawge came in this afternoon to get his 2018 ECU updated and tuned with KDMAX-Pro normal throttle. It was good meeting and talking with you Larry. Larry was completely over how bad his truck performed and was considering selling it! Larry phoned me shortly after he left he was completely blown away how much the KDMAX-Pro tune transformed his truck!

Ray @whatisraytaco just recently found out about the new Pro tune. He also upgraded to 5.29's so he wanted to get updated to the new Pro tune with 5.29's as soon as possible.
Good seeing you again Ray if you do decide to jump up to 35's let me know will get you dialed in. The Pro tune performs great with the bigger heavier Overlanding trucks.

Just got back from my initial drive about 70 miles. Anyone that is on the fence about getting their truck tuned you are wasting your time just go get it.

Originally I had my truck tuned and it was good but when towing or climbing I still wanted to regear. After getting my gears I just upgraded to the pro tune with sport throttle and was smiling the whole way home. No more pedal lag, it’s so smooth and consistent. When the truck shifts you almost can’t tell it’s shifting. I’ve had trucks in the past with 10 speeds and this feels really close. Thank you guys so much for the work you put in on this tune!

Jumping in here. After a couple longer drives, I would say that this tune is absolutely how these trucks should have come from the factory. One of my major issues was how early the truck shifts into the next higher gear. Even happening while you are applying pressure to the pedal to speed up. This no longer happens.

Prior to this I had the original OVTune and shift sense pro just to kind of work around the problem. That resolved some of the issue but it still was a problem. Long trips where the grade changes significantly, transmission would hunt to find the right gear. Painful to drive. To the point where I had it up for sale a couple times.

I checked back to the forum after some time off and found the KDMax-Pro thread. After reading through numerous reviews over hundreds of pages, I decided it would be worth a try. WOW! My mind is blown. It is really a night and day difference. What Dave and Kreg have done is nothing short of amazing. Initial MPG went form 16 > 18.3. The biggest part is that I enjoy driving the truck. I have gone through half a tank and it continues to get better and more predictable. It no longer feels like driving with the flow of traffic is hard work.
