I have Normal Pro for DD. But try the sport first. Your tuner will let you see if you’ll like it. The Normal is perfect for me on this PNW winter.

Drove mine a little more today. It's the cat's meow. I finally like this little truck.

Pro with normal setting / AT. No more shift hunting.

it would have to go down as HP is just a calculation of torque.

Definitely a great upgrade. I went from 6.0 wife tip 87 to Normal Pro 87. I’m loving my truck more and more I drive. The ECT will give you more torque and power when towing.
Isn’t it fellow tuned freaks?? ;-)

I'll be going from 6.0 to Pro after the holidays, but I have a question. What does the ECT button do to give you more HP and TQ? Different map? I just thought it made the truck hold gears longer for towing. If it does actually give the truck more power through a different map, why isn't that map just the one that's always used?

ECT has separate shift maps and separate throttle maps. The rest of the tune is the same.
ECT will hold gears longer and have a little more throttle. Good for towing and performance.

I don't think it gives more power. It keeps it in gear longer, it stands for Electronically Controlled Transmission. Here is the definition; The ECT PWR button is not a turbo boost button. In fact, it doesn’t actually increase the power of your vehicle at all. It’s nothing more than a tow-haul mode button that can be used when pulling a trailer, carrying a heavy load, or when traveling over hilly areas of land like in the mountains. What that actually means is that it raises slightly the shift points of the transmission so that the engine will rev to a slightly higher RPM before shifting to the next gear. This ensures that when under stress the truck will not lug as the next gear engages.

    Just the Cumster tuned.

I went through with the Sport tune instead of the normal tune. I drove it less than a mile just to see what it would do, and it blows the OVTune out of the water.

When I rev it up wile in neutral it does make some Tokyo drift rice burner noises...I wonder if that'll cause damage to the engine...it sounds like cars 2 and 3 of this compilation

Does anyone know what its called and if its ok to do?

Ha! In Neutral you can hit the rev limiter and it will do that. It is just protecting the engine from over revving. Sounds fun though!
It will not do that while in gear, we tuned it to shift to the next gear before hitting the rev limiter.

Jumping in here to add to the pile of positive feedback. After a couple longer drives, I would say that this tune is absolutely how these trucks should have come from the factory. One of my major issues was how early the truck shifts into the next higher gear. Even happening while you are applying pressure to the pedal to speed up. This no longer happens.

Prior to this I had the original OVTune and shift sense pro just to kind of work around the problem. That resolved some of the issue but it still was a problem. Long trips where the grade changes significantly, transmission would hunt to find the right gear. Painful to drive. To the point where I had it up for sale a couple times. I thought the drivetrain was a flawed design.

After reading through numerous reviews in this thread, I decided it would be worth a try. WOW! My mind is blown. It is really a night and day difference. What Dave and Kreg have done is nothing short of amazing. Initial MPG went form 16 > 18.3. The biggest part is that I enjoy driving the truck. I have gone through half a tank and it continues to get better and more predictable. It no longer feels like driving with the flow of traffic is hard work.

Ok Ok, it is fun AF, especially because of the MBRP exhaust I got back there, I just didn't know what the heck was going and if it would damage my engine.
