Honestly… I’d take a hilux/70 series over a Tacoma any day. Wouldn’t have any complaints from me if they brought the hilux here and discontinued the Tacoma.

I do! I love mine. Fits like oem, and I’ve hit it really hard once or twice (dropped of a ledge and it landed square on a rock) and I’ve never had any issue. Definitely a massive improvement over the stock plate, much thicker and beefier. I turned the stock plate into basically scrap metal after a few hard hits. @oostroma is a great dude too.

    Happy holidays everyone!

Life has been a blur for me as I just purchased a new home today downsizing from my log home in the woods. I’m leaving the Bayfield area and moving north to the big town of Goderich up the shoreline a little bit. I sold my beloved cabin in the woods 8 days ago and let me tell you buying and selling real estate right now is just crazy.

Thank goodness I found a place because I was going to be homeless and renting an old farmhouse until I found something.

As I age heating with wood 100% becomes old as much as I love it. I’ve never had a furnace, air conditioning or a dryer so it’s going to be nice living in town with Conveniences and a house with an attached garage to work on the taco.

I had some fun in the snow in a soybean field with the RAV4 tonight checking trail cameras and baiting a Deerstand for a friend. This is year 2 of keeping my taco salt free so snow is a no go for me…..I did have it out one day this week when the roads were dry!

Wow that’s pretty cool fact… Is that the expansion on the backside of the store or is it the right side of the store when you are facing the front?

I will miss sitting by the stove in this room but not the blue rug from the 80s

Wow, that looks fantastic. But I can see that keeping it heated with wood will get old at some point. I always wondered: what is a log home like insulation wise? Is it hard to heat/keep warm?
Congrats on the new place. I'm sure you enjoy the new luxury :)
