Official 2021 NCAA Football Thread

Two Alabama coaches just tested positive for covid, so how long now before 1/2 the fully vaccinated team is positive. This variant is like a cold, maybe even less, only one person in the US and one in the UK has died from this version and they may have had bad health issues already. This version is so infectious everyone will probably get it in the coming weeks.

 

Yea this is stupid. This one’s a cold. People have played with worse. It’s not going anywhere. Just learn to live with it. As much as I hate basketball, Adam Silver said as much yesterday - “we’re just going to have to learn to live with it.” Said they weren’t going to cancel games for it.

 

I’m pretty sure i have it now. I’ve had a cold for going on 2 weeks. But haven’t been tested for it.

 

I think I had it over Thanksgiving. But it felt like a cold, so IDGAF. 3 of us had lingering colds, wife picked it up for a day or two.

 

The one reported death from the new variant was miss reported by the media. It's reported now that the person in Texas died with Covid, not from it.

So we are shutting down bowl games because players are catching colds.

 

Mutations. We are shutting them down because variations that are mutating will prolong this whole ordeal.... As we are currently experiencing.

 

Is this a below par year for the SEC or are they always just meh beyond 1 & 2? I'm beginning to think Bob Stoops was right when he said that the SEC was mediocre outside AL and GA and that OU will regularly contend for an SEC championship.

The SEC as a whole was 3-8 in BCS bowl games from 2010-14, including a record of 0-6 in BCS games outside the national championship game.

 

Too bad UCF couldn't have faced a little stiffer competition than Florida tonight.

 

SEC draftees don't play bowl games that don't contend for a piece of the pie ...

 

I’m sure there’s a lot of first round talent on a 6-7 team.
