Can you link the studs you used? I'd love to install some. Did you install Front and rear or just fronts?

You are correct on this. I had to purchase some hub centric rings 112mm--->106.1mm for it to fit snug.

I did front and rear. I used the ones from wheeladapter.com. Check my build thread in my sig for more pics if interested. They were 1" longer than the stocks even though they advertised 1/2". 1/2" would have fit no problem all around and provided the necessary thread engagement. The front was cake to swap out, being disk brake, but the rear required me to drill 3/4" holes into the drum backing plates to get enough clearance. It was that or pull the whole axle out. There's a bunch of other holes and grommets in the backing plate already and it's 5/16" thick plate so it can handle another one. Grabbed some 1/8" wide rubber hole plugs off eBay and made them fit.

    Studs I used: WheelAdapter.com

I'm also running these with extended and open-ended lug nuts (Muteki SR45R's)

This is a good thread about the different stud options. I didn't find it until after I had already purchased mine though: Wheel studs are too short! What to do.... | Tacoma World

Based on that thread, it looks like I would have had a much simpler time installing these studs instead: Amazon.com: Dorman 610-463 Rear M12-1.50 Serrated Wheel Stud - 14.20mm Knurl, 55mm Length for Select Pontiac / Toyota Models, 10 Pack : Automotive

ARP extended studs I’m about to install part number 100-7715. Just google to find best price. Keep in mind you need to order 5 of these due to 6 studs per wheel, 24 studs total. Pic below.

Hub rings 112 outer to 106 inner I am using. Lines up the lugs perfectly centered as the wheel mates up to the hub. Highly recommended. This is my 10th set of wheels on multiple Toyota trucks. These Toyotas are exquisitely sensitive. If the wheel is offset a little bit, there will be vibrations and you will think the tires are off balance. I highly recommend you folks pick up these rings if you own aftermarket wheels. Link below.

Are you running center caps? I wonder if my caps are why I don't need the hub rings on this.

No. You don’t “need” to run hub rings. But if you get weird vibrations. Don’t complain.

I've always ran hub rings on everything. This truck doesn't have that issue for me though. I'm wondering if my center caps are taking up some of the slack due to their mounting design.

I don’t know how far back the center caps go but I doubt center caps have anything to do with the wheel mounting surface or how the lugs align. I also doubt they would interfere with hub ring application.

I’ve had multiple Toyota trucks. After trying to hunt down highway vibrations, tire mounting and remounting, alignment, greasing drive shaft, changing steering rack, changing wheel bearings, among other bullshit time consuming and expensive variables this is one variable that is cheap and easy to eliminate. It has contributed to the vibrations felt on the 07 FJ, 08 4runner, 15 4runner I’ve owned in the past. It makes a difference.

They install from behind the wheel. They're not like a typical cap on a car.

No vibes on my setup without them, but have dealt with what you describe on other platforms.

Sounds like they mount the same way as on my Advan GT’s I ran on my Nissan GTR. Still ran hub rings.

No vibrations? You’re not going fast enough. Try pushing 85 mph and see what happens. Like I said, you don’t “need” to run hub rings. Cheap and easy. But you do you bro!

Been upwards of 100 with this config and not a single vibe. If you're going to have hub ring vibes it will be throughout the speedometer range generally, not just at high speeds. Usually I cruise around 70 in this though because the mpg on the 3G's is atrocious. My lugs also do a great job centering the wheel.

Like I said I've always run them in the past, but this has great fitment on my rig I don't see them as necessary.

Nice! The GT’s were designed for the GTR specifically. I ran the rear prototype 20x12” +13 offset offset for awhile. The car was sponsored by Mackin.

Awesome! Based on the intake mani, size of the intake and intercooler piping, crank case vent to atmo catch can with 10 AN fittings you’re pushing 1k+ WHP. 12 injector setup is next?

Bingo, right at 1k… Next up is a different car though, brilliant machine but it really feels a bit long in the tooth.
