You know, I've had vehicles with, and vehicles without factory remote start (RS). I almost never used the RS, only because it's so bad for gas engines to idle for very long right after you start them. I didn't get it on my Tacoma for that reason. Well, that and the extra $.
My wife, (The Queen), won't have a vehicle without it.
I'll never recommend putting aftermarket RS on a vehicle. I was a mechanic for a few years between high school and college, I worked on 10 or 12 cars with aftermarket RS. Most of the time the vehicle was in the shop because of something that was screwed up because of the RS, or the installation of the RS.
I do like the remote door lock/unlock though.

1: why did you get the meso stage 1, don’t you have oem led?
    2. How did you go about hardwiring your black vue? Seems to be a highly rated camera

The tails are bulbs even with the LED headlights so I’m looking for something brighter and I like that the MESO kit gives you a legitimate amber blinker.

I bought a BlackVue DR600 in 2014 and have loved it. I wanted 4K and a rear camera so I bought the DR900X which comes with the hardwire kit. I ran the power down the drivers side A pillar to the interior fuse box where I used “add a fuse” to the hazard lights and washer fuse - the kit required an always on connection and one that turns on with the truck for the parking mode. It will turn off if the battery drops below a certain level.

Pretty easy install honestly but if you were to do this I would recommend taking off the side kick panel to give yourself some extra room. Plus it makes it much easier to hide the excess wiring. I zip tied everything up nice and you can’t see anything.

Exactly why I bought them too within minutes of the "in stock" email notification that I got a couple nights ago, although I think I would phrase it as "the MESO kit gives you the correct color blinker."

I have been driving since the mid 1970's and have owned well over 50 vehicles myself as well as the few for my 3 kids when they were young. I get your point about the older RS and the gaggle of wires creating headaches. But the RS now are so much simpler. Now they are simple plug and play units that are a breeze to install as well as uninstall. I do not have one in my Tacomas but am certainly considering one. The last 2 I installed were 15 minute jobs that work with the factory remotes. My daily driver came stock with every bell and whistle including remote start and heated seats and mirrors. I would not trade those features for anything. When it is 20° F in the morning, especially with leather, nothing beats a RS and heated seats. I bought 1 suv for one of my kids, many years ago, that was so random we got rid of the suv. There had to be 20 wires spliced in that thing and nothing was marked and had no instructions. The alarm would go off while driving and the start feature failed within the first week.

I have a set on my Tundra that I'm going to take off to put on the Tacoma. I was wondering the same thing. I think I'm just going to use the positive one and keep the stock negative on. Only thing I'll have to connect to the negative is my Spod. Unless I decide to run a winch, then I'll put on the negative side. Then probably run an AGM as well at that point.

Didn't do anything fancy to my truck I got last week but did get to take it's maiden voyage to the woods hunting and get a little mud on it. Wife thought it looked terrible. LOL
Gotta find some nicer wheels though. I hate the plain steel things.

No issues installing the terminals. Remember you need a body ground cable, that I noted in my port or build one. I had a leftover from a previous project.

I installed the Borla not too long ago and have been super happy with it. i think its got the perfect tone and it shuts up when youre up to speed so you don't get sick of it.

it's awesome! I couldn't be happier with how the 5.29's, 35's, and the tune are together. no longer have that thought in the back of my head of selling the truck.

    Enough for now
Helped my father in law do a couple mods. The taco attic is way easier the second time, took probably five minutes vice the 45min when I did it to my truck alone the first time. Blind spot mirrors and tailgate inlays were a breeze

Hi there, I really like you blind spot mirrors.
Could you tell me where you sourced those from, I’ve never seen that style before.
    Thanks

Where did you get your TRD push start? I've checked on meso's website but aren't available.
