ohhh! I’m cutting it close with 33s. I’d love to make the jump to 35s. What leaf pack do you have and how tall is your garage opening?

I'm running a TOYTEC Boss pack with a custom arch from a local leaf spring shop. I had them arched to sit level when fully loaded. I wanted minimum lift springs that could support the weight. I didn't want a bunch of rear rake like most of the 3"+ leafpacks. They've been awesome. The garage is 7 foot.

    Work in Progress...
    What lift do you have?

I am really hoping to fit in my garage with 33's and 3inch lift

I’m still on medium duty Dakars which aren’t up to holding the weight. I was thinking about going to deaver u402 stage 2 or 3 but I think it’ll give me too much lift like you said. Custom is probably the way to go. My garage opening is only about 82 inches.

I’ve got kings front and rear with medium duty Dakar leaf springs on 255 85r16s. I’m not sure on the actual lift I got from all that but It’s very minimal.

I have Deaver U402 Stage 2 leafs. Brought the truck up, but with the X1 it's back down to near level.

It's all dependant on front setup and personal preference as well. Not one truck is the same.

For all you PNW people, and definitely others. It rained like an SOB last night in So Cal and I have leaks in the front R and L corners of the shell; the tent was dry. The amount of water really wasn't a significant amount, maybe 3/4 to 1 cup, and I expected some water to come in somewhere. It seems to be leaking somewhere between the bed rail cap and shell under the seal. 1) have any of you had this problem? 2) if so, what did you do to potentially fix it? 3) I was thinking of running a bead of silicon along the bed cap and shell. The biggest problem is trying to get between the cab and shell. TIA.

Did you seal that gap in each corner up front? Even with that done, I've still had some water come in up front there somewhere. I had the front bed rail reversed to mount a bike fork mount up front, thought it was coming in underneath that. But hard to tell. There's nowhere for water to drain since I plugged the drain holes. What I need to do is clear out some space up front along the bottom so water can just evaporate easier rather than sit there. We get so little rain here it shouldn't be an issue 98% of the time. That said I drove home last night from Palm Springs to SD in the heaviest rain of the night. And yeah, checking now there is some water up front there.

I did seal the corners up front. But possibly not well enough... we're in the same boat here in Redondo Beach, usually not much rain. But last night it poured for a long time. So in a way I am pleased there was really not that much. Talking with a buddy today he suggested the rubber mats with holes in them to keep air flowing and evaporation; that under the bed rug should work well.

    BTW, MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!

3rd gens don’t have as many problems since it was designed for them. 2nd and 1st gens work since the size is pretty much the same but have leaks without owners taking a lot of extra care for sealing.

1st gen here. Not much leaking to speak of. Some in the rear tent corners when tent is deployed and in very heavy rain (see posts above) but not enough to worry about. It basically ran under the bed platform an dripped a little on what was below, like maybe a quarter cup over 12 hours. Some came through the seam between the side rails and the front rail bulb seal, which I could easily caulk with some silicone. I'm going to get to that soon. No, really. Other than that, no leaking on the doors. No leaking from the tent top.

I have had my share. It seemed okay but after I got home. I aired out the truck then came back a day later and inside everything was wet. Under my mat was a ton of water.

akso noticed in cold weather my window seal had separated. I’m also certain my shell moved forward 1/2 -1” and my bulb seals are wedged a bit and Mikey not helping

tent did well in the rain but after affects have been not fun. Ended up doing another air out with heater buddy until it ran out and seems to be better.

I’m sure all of this is not from rain direct as we had to pack in the rain. Pulled my mat to dry it out.

you used a lil buddy to "dry" it out? those lil guys tend to produce more moisture than dry things out. this is prob why your entire shell is full of moisture.

The picture of the moisture was not from the little buddy that was how I found the truck before drying it out. It was not like that when I parked it. When I ran the lil buddy I ran it with the tent vented and had no moisture throughout after that was completed. As long as its vented moisture was non existent or minimal.

haha right? I think it was a combination of several days of heavy rain, some water in the bed, and changes in temps. A bunch of different factors. I am not saying its all the X1's fault.
