I brought my Elftmann in to work today to let a coworker check it out. I bought this on BF and just realized it's got an incremental adjustment knob. Apparently all of their triggers have these know.

Also, for anyone wondering. Apparently any Elftmann trigger will work across the board. I didn't find that out until after I had ordered an AR9 one for $200 and then an AR10 for $164

Ideally, 9mm should use a rounded hammer. Blowback ARs beat the hell out of those one piece triggers if hammer doesn't have the right contour. Ask me how I know.....

Also another reason to make sure you've got enough buffer weight.

My AR9 had the Aero buffer kit at 7.7oz I believe.

I have 9mm, 40, 45 and 10mm ARs. I use an 11oz buffer in everything except 10mm, which is 34oz. The 45 is only a 4" barrel, and 11oz is still a little light. It's definitely too little with a 45acp 8 inch barrel. The 10mm will shoot full house loads, suppresses great, and doesn't beat the crap out of innards.

Keeping the bolt closed as long as possible also helps reduce port pop with a can.

I think factories provide light buffers so that customers don't complain about cycling issues. They work, but not ideal.

I built it with all Aero stuff with exception of barrel and BCG. I have always been happy with my Aero stuff and know they are much better at it than I am

I’ve been reading on Reddit that you want to replace the 308 buffer spring that Aero included with a regular 5.56 spring. There was a post yesterday where the projectile was smashed into the casing but still fed because of the overpowered spring and it blew up. Link for reference.

Damn. I have a spare AR15 spring sitting around, so I will try that first. I'd much rather need to go up to a stronger spring than start out with one that is too much.

I will post pics of the Elftmann Match Pro(one above), AR10(hasn't shipped yet), and AR9(should be here Tuesday) once they all come in.

Since you’re not running their barrel I doubt it would have this problem. Who did you go with? Faxon?

Anyone know of any good 16-18" 5.56 heavy barrels without the gas port drilled?

In a blowback, the spring doesn't do much except return BCG to battery. Weak spring is probably better if you have enough weight. Force on bolt face can only be offset by adding mass to counter it. The maths.
