If you don’t have another negative terminal don’t cut it. Just use the top post option supplied with the kit. If you cut your negative, you will need https://sdhqoffroad.com/products/05...-6ga-negative-battery-to-body-16-ground-cable or something similar. Use a cable cutter not a hack saw. https://www.amazon.com/Leverage-Com...t=&hvlocphy=9031722&hvtargid=pla-428503161356

Reminds me of my 1st one that I sold for $2600 with 82k miles many many moons ago. One of many regrets in life. The timing chain guides wore out and the chain cut thru the timing cover. Had just started to overheat and saw the oil-water mix. Typical 22R engine issue. Sure wish I would have fixed it and kept it.

Replaced the rear seat with a Goose Gear rear seat delete kit. Happy with the install, but will be adding some sound deadening material later. Cab noise is louder.

Thanks. Took most of the day, but imagine it could be done in about 4 or 5 hours if you worked steady. I was distracted when it was apart contemplating radio and sound system mods.

That is why I am religious about keeping a plug kit, pliers and an air compressor in my trucks. One time use makes it all worthwhile. Nearly as quick as changing a tire.

Back when I had my Sequoia I carried a plug kit. Had on occasion to use it and it did not work. No amount of ass could have pushed the plug into the hole and I almost got a hernia trying. Threw the damned plug kit in the garbage and swore I'd never buy another. And yea, I did follow the directions. :bananadead:

Got the AJT Designs steering wheel trim installed. Overall I'm pretty happy with the fitment and look. I do wish the black was a bit more glossy, but, still looks good. The instructions on their website are plenty detailed. The very top screw hole is just slightly off on both pieces, but, with a little patience the screw will go in straight.

It is a chore rasping the hole big enough for the plug. Worst part of the job.

All you need is two ring connectors and a foot of 6-8 awg cable. Or you can buy one premade at the auto parts store (it will be much heavier than needed, but it will work).

You final option is to install the terminal post at the top of the negative connector and just hook the factory terminal to it, just as you would hook it to the battery. It just doesn't look as nice.
