Milwaukee Tools

I bought an old V18 impact wrench at a yard sale and bought a regular V18 drill from a friend and they are great. I wish the batteries lasted longer though.
At my job we cut small trees or evasive plants out of natural areas (fields with native plants) with their brushless sawzalls. They are through and through beasts. Occasionally a few days a week we sometimes do 3 or 4 pickup dump trucks full of 2 to 3 inch diameter trees. Sometimes we put them to the test and run them through a foot to foot and a half logs and they just keep chugging along. They stand up to all the drops, mud, water, cold, and heat but keep going. They do break occasionally but it's to be expected with what we put them through. For us we basically use them as chainsaws which is definitely hard on them. After using them and seeing what they can do they are worth the money.

I was talking with the Mgr at HD today because I was trying to get a 3 box pack out kit and he only had 2 of the 3 I wanted and we were talking about this very thing and he told me a 10-15% is coming across the board on Milwaukee tools....

 

Ordered my replacement finally, my truck was stolen and they took a bunch of important tools, this was one of them.

F homedepression. I went to their site and looked up what I needed, wasn't happy about the price.... but I got cash and need the tool tomorrow. I went to the store today and they do not carry the package/kit I need, only the bare tool and then need to spend more for the battery and charger. I came home and looked on Amazon and ordered kit I found for 100$ less than home depression.

need to see the market for used Stihls and see if it’s worth it.

 

I’m thinking of selling my setup like that and buying the new 2 drawer one and keeping a couple of my smaller ones. Not sure yet, haven’t had the chance to look at one in person

The drawers certainly seem to be a game changer as far as I'm concerned. Who wants to remove boxes to access the contents??

WTF? I've had Milwaukee tools for about 12 years and they've been great. They replaced a set of Hitachi that were great, but the batteries took a dump and replacements were cost prohibitive. I also tried a couple of Dewalt and found them to be more hype than actual usefulness. Again, battery issues.

So my old Milwaukee driver has a chuck getting pretty bad and I've replaced it once already, a sad affair as they tried to charge me 90 bucks to replace the 30 dollar chuck, a fifteen minute job at most. Anyhow, I didn't want to go through that again so was in Home Depot and saw a two pack of drivers for sale. One had a chuck and the other a (not sure what you call it, but similar to an air coupler?) coupler. They had two options depending on if you wanted to spend an extra thirty bucks for better batteries.

I stepped up for the "better" batteries and I hve to say... it these are better batteries I'd have really hated buying the ones that were less capacity. The batteries last maybe an hour or so. My 12 year old batteries will outlast them by three times or more.

This whole sales strategy to sell batteries that are actually worth having is bogus.

Be forewarned battery tool manufacturers... when I win the lottery the first thing on my list is to build high quality tools with affordable replacement batteries. (The second thing on the list is replacement car stereos that are as easy to use as the original units.)

I buy my batteries off eBay, haven’t had problems before but got this one m12 6ah that was not getting as much run time as my others. After inspecting it, turns out it has replicated stickers and weighs different. Luckily the seller takes returns. Just wanted to give y’all a heads up.

Bday gift from my neighbors. Now I'll need the matching blower for light yard/driveway cleanup. I guess the Toro 20V trimmer and blower are going on CL soon.

 

Love em both..went from a gas trimmer and backpack blower to battery.

 

Nice. Too many oaks & maples on my acre lot for me to ditch the Stihl backpack blower, but I use the cordless for driveway/walkway cleanup after mowing.
