Time says it doesn’t last very long. Unless they changed something. I did my tool box lid with it and it was faded blotchy gray within a year.

Just did 1592mi. Tire pressures set the same as always. I wouldn't think to alter your tire pressure differently in the case of a long distance drive, Ideally, even wear across the tire is best.

Would just do a quick chalk and go. Nice contact patch as those freeway miles tick by.
    Safe travels, Merry Christmas.

With 4.10s and 33s, I was running right around 22-2300 at 70. With 4.56s I'm sitting right about where you are. I hadn't thought about swapping 5th, would be nice to drop it down a bit, keep us updated.

    You got any pictures?
I put my All Pro bumper on hold until after the holidays but I'm itching to get started with the installation. I believe you said a few days back you had some issues with the fitment at first so if there's any lessons you learned the hard way that could save me a little bit of hassle I would be grateful.

There's evidence of a front end collision under my hood and I know that might create some hassle for me

I know I'm going to have to do some extra work to get the Low Range tank skid installed because 2 of the 4 stock skid bolts are snapped off inside the weld nut. Hopefully I can get those out without a problem but I do have a welder. Was it @El Taco Diablo I recently saw fab up some alternative mounting points for the tank skid?

    Wasn't me.

I put on a Low Range gas tank skid a few months ago. But mine bolted up with no issues.

Ok, Did a tundra brake upgrade on my 99 taco. I used these calipers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EDCBKE0?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details.. FYI for those whom would like to do this conversion, you will have to grind on a bit on these so they wont rub the back of your rims. (found out the hard way) was wondering why the wouldn't turn when I mounted them.. All good now, just be aware.

Front end alignment next week. Then time to pull the motor.. Runs great, but seems to leak from every seal. Has anyone here used this kit? https://www.ebay.com/itm/282013417185 . just wondering the quality..

What wheels are you running that you needed to grind the calipers? For future reference, here's a list of wheels that fit the 13WL calipers. None with grinding, though some require spacers: https://adventuretaco.com/which-wheels-fit-the-tundra-brake-upgrade-on-a-tacoma/

As for the timing belt kit - that seems pretty low cost to me. The aircabinman kit on eBay is known to be high quality Toyota (and Toyota OEM supplier) parts, but obviously costs more. Still, when you're talking about a job like that, which you don't want to redo on a regular basis; spend a bit more for quality parts.

And, for doing that job, here's a step-by-step guide. Note that you'll need a few other parts and supplies, and there are some specialty tools that can make the job a whole lot easier. They pay for themselves easily in a single timing belt/water pump job, and even more if you help a friend out with their truck after doing your own!

I used these, the American racing before I found that article. Bought from tire rack mounted and balanced. The amount of the caliper I had to grind was really not that much, only about 1/16th of an inch.

Thanks for the feedback on the timing parts, I'm turn on trying to keep this motor going or just go ahead and do a diesel swap. Still keeping my options open as in 4k for a rebuilt 3.4 or a 1kz-te turbo diesel for $3700.00.

I don’t have any pics of the original mount up. As for fitment issues. The 2 front facing bolts, that go into the box end of the frame were my issue. They just did not line up, so I had to take the die grinder to them probably only about 1/8” reemed out. Not too bad.

My issue tackled this week was, the 4 (2 on each side of the radiator) bolts on the underside of the frame. One side I had issues removing the oem bolts originally on the one side. Like they were over torqued in or cross threaded. When I originally put the bumper on I could only get 1 to go in. I left it for then, then later when I went to remove the plate to drain my coolant it just stripped and stuck… I tried the other one with a Helicoil, but that did nothing more than piss me off for wasting my money/time lol. I did snap one pic of the section I cut out. It was a bitch to weld back in, but I feel pretty confident it’s on there good.
