I went inside and tapped the washer fuse. I added a switch as well so I can disable them too.

So discovered today that the DRL on the Morimotos do not turn off even when you turn the selector on the headlight stick to off. Whilst I run with them on most of the time anyway it's not that big of a deal but I would imagine they should be a lot more plug and play than they are. Any way to rectify this so they actually operate on and off with the DRL switch?

It would be a bit complicated.
DRL's on a '13 are tied to the TURN signal circuit and Body ECU (turns them OFF when LOW beams are selected)

    This be it:
T-tap the DRL harness wire at the Body ECU. (connector 1M_slot 10. Green wire with red runner)

    Sup guys,

Has anyone installed these on a 2015 TRD sport? and if so had any issues they have discovered while running them? I've been heavily considering getting the amber DRL version.

I've got DRL selection on my turn signal control stick and also have a DRL push button installed on my center console area. A blak was removed and aftermarket 5 or 6 dot strip led drls were installed. Some tac's and tundras have them. You can see them on my profile pic. So im wondering if I could hook the Amber DRL to this wiring and control them with the push button instead of having them tied into my drl on the turn signal lever on the steering wheel. You follow me???

The turn signal DRL control turns the little bulb on that sits on the inside part of the headlight closer to the grill....

The push-button DRL turns on the strip underneath my headlights. Totally separate DRls that were installed and the switch was put in a blank on the center console switch cluster.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated fellas.
    Thanks!

Remember if those LEDs under the headlights are factory installed there's a dimmer on them that activates when headlights are on/off.

Have you verified it's the headlights that make them dim? or the parking lights?
Reading the install instructions, it shows they are tapped into the A33 (A/C connector) IGN and DASH (Parking circuit) illumination and not the low beams.

It probably is a misnomer, the headlights part. It should read parking lights.

I don't own these headlights. I have built retrofits. I was talking about dealer installed LED lights under the headlights. They're wired into the center radio console somehow. IMG_20211110_121308_577.jpg

    hey fellas

So yes the on off push switch is located in the center console switch panel.

Caribe~ yes they re wired in with the parking circuit.
From bottom to top on the turn signal lever it reads:
    Headlights
    Parking lights
    DRL
    Off position

    Nothing happens when off Obviously.....lol
nothing for the DRL - The DRL strip is controlled with the button on center console panel
The DRL strip dims when you hit the parking light position
and stays dimmed when headlights are selected as well.

I can hit the DRL center console button and run the DRL strips anytime the truck is running. They'll dim once i turn on the parking lights and stay dim through to the headlights.

And yes they are the DRL strips pictured above. Little dots underneath the headlights.....

So with all this being laid out here......I would think I could not wire the Morimoto DRL's into this center console switch.....without some serious shit taking place lol.

With the turn signal selector I have in this sport I would guess the Amber DRL would come on when I hit the DRL position on the turn signal/headlight lever.
I wonder if it would stay on when selecting parking lights and headlights as well.....???

It's weird trying to imagine how they would work with the controls i have in here.....
