I would want it for a 2.4 and below. I am running it with my 2.6 currently though and the truck seems happy. As Jesse mentioned, it's great insurance and is good for a little peace of mind

Thanks. This is an older pic. I’ve since switched to the urd tcai intake. However, I’m switching back to this setup in the very near future.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
I run 5qts + 500mL of liquimoly and oil is usually at the *full* line or right below with the large filter after running the engine to purge air and sitting overnight to check the level.

Merry boostmas from the garage. Was hoping for a boosty miracle but electric gremlins are keeping the sleigh in the stable this holiday. Give a few extra pedal romps for me.

It started out ~50 degrees colder than that here this morning, following snow squalls last night. We're, now, up to only ~25 degrees colder.

    Merry Christmas, boosted brothers!

Makes sense for now running meth isn’t an option mainly for smog visual reasons. Would make things easier. I need the setup to not have the extra dependencies for when way off the path and CA. If running a 2.6 or 2.7 would be better than 2.5 I may consider that.

Taking off the meth stuff would probably take about as long as swapping back to the stock intake. The lines are quick disconnect so that’s easy. Hiding the pump and tank is another thing but I doubt those would be very difficult to take off too. In the past there used to be guys that would put stock manifolds back on, smog, then put their long tubes on and continue.

Yah I’m looking for ease too. Manifolds would never be a take off for smog for me. Would be nice to have some LTs though.

I guess it’s more is it needed or when it’s a good idea for Meth but sounds like 2.5 is the lower part of no meth but almost a bad idea there either. We’ll see how the 2.5 or maybe pick up the inbetweens once I finis up the rest of the mid pile.

or maybe I’ll move out of CA then all bets are off

I just toss in 6 quarts and call it a day with the larger filter.

This is a bit of a preliminary thing, but from my understanding when I was reading through the smog rules program water meth injection was NOT a penalty for the smog program, not for functional, and not for visual reasons. Check with your brother if you can. He may know and have more access than I did at the time.

...it is 6. Cause stock is 5.5qts. I just dump and move on. That dipstick is useless. Edited my last post.

5.5 with the standard sized filter. With the large filter it takes I want to say about 5.8 to full. I just toss in 6 for good insurance and to account for consumption. It makes it easier on oil changes as well if I ever use bottles because then I can just dump in the full 6 without having to measure.
