Any of y’all in a silver 2nd gen running PA plates and were on Independence today around 11? Truck looks good if ya were, I was admiring it and got a funny look from the driver (was in wife’s CRV)

 

I need a dyno tune for custom turbo setup with Haltech Elite, any recommendations? No amateurs please.

 

I don't know if they are still around but call Ramey Built (Ramey Racing - Performance Tuning & Fabrication).

They made my exhaust. Probably some of the best tig welding I've seen. Haven't had time to get a tune but saw their dyno and talked to the guy who did the tune and was much more comfortable with his level of knowledge than the other local "tune" shops.

 

Did he do a reroute on your taco or something different...figured I'd ask since I need to do the t-case exhaust reroute.

 

He made a custom stainless steal 3" cat back for my turbo setup. He probably would be a bit pricey for a reroute but you can ask. I think mine was about $1000 so not too bad.

 

I need a favor...doesn't require money or physical labor. Just need about 5 minutes of you time to help me out. PM me...

Portsmouth VA here. Just received it yesterday. Pinstripping is probably going to come off Sunday, since that will be the soonest I'll be able to have time to do such a thing.

 

Very nice! Just curious, why do people hate the pin strips so much?

 

I wouldn't say I hate them personally, nor do I love them though. Pinstripping is sort of a "back in the old day" type styling. As for me, I want to go black on red, rather then keep the chrome on red, badging. So pinstripping would look a bit off if I did that. Also personally feel that the non-pinstripped solid body color would look just a bit more clean.

 

I don't hate pin-stripping but I like solid colors muck better. I took mine off because I went the all black look. Silver pin-stripping would not accomplish the look I was after.
Solid red is better than the look that comes from the factory.

 

How did you take off your own pin stripping? Trying to keep it as close to perfect without damaging anything. I know with stickers hairdryer etc, but if you mess up at least its in one spot, not along the whole side of the vehicle.

 

I used a 3M wheel erasure. You can get them at any auto parts store I think.

 

Is there a trusted local shop for 3rd gen Taco, would like to get trans fluid replaced at some point
