That's cute. They won't even get your message to reply. Nearly all alias' are internal only; mail from external addresses is bounced or discarded. Imagine the amount of spam we'd have gotten oherwise, hahaha!

 

I do this exact same thing with our enterprise email for the school district, you wouldn't believe how many teachers fall for scams

 

Or how many people cant even follow basic directions. Like hey, you are not allowed to plug ANYTHING into the computers except keyboard, mouse, headphones. Few times a year there would be bulletins reminding us not to plug anything else in.

Was especially bad when they shifted to letting people work from home and they got to take the work laptops home. Was reminders pretty much daily.

The IT department got notified every time a non-kb/mouse/headphone was plugged in (along with the user account and what was plugged in..printer, usb stick, ect)

This is how I do it too, but I'm not a benevolent god. I will message the user and black out the screen if they don't remove their devices

Two quick questions, since tomorrow might be the day for swappage of cases...

1. Am I going to need to remove the entire rear drive shaft? I think I am, since I won't be able to slide the case backwards otherwise, and I don't think I can remove just the front half to the center bearing. Would love to hear otherwise though. Edit: perhaps I can just remove the center bearing as well and not muck with that whole joint there?
2. Mike or Dan - do either of you have a transmission jack that I could borrow? @drr @Digiratus

 

Sorry, no trans jack.

For some reason I thought you'd be in Hawaii.

 

You can just drop the center bearing and let it lay in the ground, still attached to the rear diff if you want. Or pop off the four bolts on the rear pinion flange and take the whole thing out. Either way.

I don’t have a transmission jack, although I might be needing one soon as well.

 

Thanks for the quick reply both! Got back from the sun this morning; was amazingly nice. OK, so tomorrow isn't the day then; will wait till Sunday to pick up a jack, and then hopefully that's the day, hahaha! Of course, anyone is welcome to borrow it once I have it.

Glad to hear I can do that with the drive shaft - will make the whole thing easier and my center bearing (though I bought a replacement a couple years ago) has never given me any trouble, so I don't see a reason to replace it yet.

I'd just remove the whole thing to get it out of your way. You don't need a trans jack either. You can unbolt the tcase from the transmission.

 

Yeah, I was going to unbolt the tcase; just figured it'd be easier to ease it out of the trans (and the seals, etc.) with a transmission jack rather than trying to balance it on a floor jack.

 

No need to remove it totally. Just unbolt it from tcase and carrier bearing and lay it on the floor. Be careful not to pull the slip joint all the way out.

You won't need a trans jack imo. It's not that heavy.
