Many people think that if you melt down steel with any rust on it, the "new" steel made from it will be more prone to rust. This is not true because the heat involved in the process destroys any rust. If you looked at the amount of rust in steel headed towards a steel mill for recycling, you'd be quite surprised. And it has no effect on the finished product.

 

At least with the 1st gen frame replacements, Toyota got sued for the frame issue and they turned around and sued Dana Corp for it. I don't know who makes/made the 2nd gen frames

Dana had to pay out at least 25 million to Toyota for the 1st gen issue

I like the weather today a million times better than last year, it's 63 out today versus last year freezing and shoveling snow.

 

I don't mind snow; We've got a snowblower that actually works now!

 

B101 has been playing nonstop commercial-free Christmas music since yesterday; Love me some Sinatra, especially on this stereo!

 

Early on I learned from a pro that if you really want to be impressed by a system, play classical music on it.

 

I've done that before; Serenade No. 13 in G Major by Mozart is one of my favorites since childhood and I've cranked that in my truck before!

 

I took this picture on Christmas Eve right before taking the truck to Peddler's Village one last time; If you look closely, you will see that one of the light sets on the driver's window isn't working...



This is the second time this has happened to one of my smaller sets, and I know it's not a battery issue; I've got a busy week coming up and I really want to take the truck through the car wash, so I've decided to take the lights off tomorrow rather than on January 2nd like I've done in the past.

I decorated the truck early this year because I anticipated the new frame coming in mid-December, but it arrived within a week of me putting the lights on; I will be decorating the truck on the weekend after Thanksgiving in 2022 and undecorating it on January 2nd like I usually do!

 

Cold and snow lost its allure for me about 35 years ago, its just a nuisance now.

 

Had 2 Deer run out if front of me tonight, went skidding and sliding across the road including over rumble strips. It was quite a violent stop and at the very end but just bumped both deer, had to pull over into a parking lot and chill for 5 or 10 minutes afterwards.
