    Merry Christmas everyone!

so I ordered a bedrack from cbi and received notification of it shipping. It has been shipping for a few days now and I have seen many reviews of estes and it being a 1 star company. Does anyone have any history they can toss in? I’m Just generally concerned and do not feel like having to deal with any hassles.

When you pick it up from the freight hub take the time to inspect it. If it’s damaged don’t sign for it and call CBI. Once you sign for it the problem becomes yours to solve. If you refuse to sign for it then the problem is on the fright company to make it right with their customer, CBI.

    No clue.

Did Estes request for you to select a date for delivery?

So they actually have to make an appointment with me to drop it off but I think id rather pick it up since a lot of reviews state they miss drop off days 2-3 times or forget to load the freight on the truck completely.

    not yet.

Depends how far you are from the fright hub but that might be your best bet instead of waiting around an entire day for them to maybe show up sometime between 8 and 5.

It's a trucking company, with the holiday season and driver shortage, it may take longer than normal time for the freight.

I have had Old Dominion and Estes delivered bulk stuff I ordered from Home Depot and my cross country move, they were alright.

Like others mentioned, don't sign the paperwork until you inspect the goods.

this isn’t necessarily true…just signing for it, doesn’t absolve the shipping company from responsibility. All you are doing is accepting and confirming the fact you received it. If it’s indeed damaged, take pictures and file a claim. Ymmv

Inspect EVERY inch of that rack.

I just ordered skid plates, bed rack, and prinsu roof rack recently.

The quality control and finishing of CBI products has taken a COMPLETE dump since the material and labor shortage.

They are rushing product out the door that isn't even welded together right.... one piece of stamped metal was the completely wrong piece and I couldn't assemble my rack completely, because of the manufacturing defect. The photos shows this front piece of the bedside and the bolt hole is at the top, when it should he flipped 180 degrees.

My rack has a ton if porous welds and none of the slag from plasma cutting is knocked off before powder coating....

    It's a nightmare.

looks like you’re another victim of a company that is growing too fast and doesn’t have the resources or capabilities to handle it.

Fortunately, after a few weeks of negotiating, they sent a replacement bedside panel that was manufactured correctly.

However, I think they want me to ship the old piece back... which will cost me a a few hundred dollars from Fairbanks Alaska... I still need to call them and figure out what they want.

I had my DB cover shipped through Estes (residential delivery) during the busy Thanksgiving week. I was under the impression that I had to be present when it was delivered so I I planned to be close to home on the estimated arrival date. I had a pre-planned out of town trip on the day prior to the arrival date but as I checked the tracking while on my trip, it showed "out for delivery" and I never got the phone call. I arrive home and the pallet was sitting on the driveway. No visible damage on the packaging or on the panels.

Well I got the bedrack today and thankfully mine was in near perfect condition with a few very minor powder coat blemishes. Other than that it is perfect. Took the day to wait for it to arrive sign for it and install my heretic ba2 lights and xbull boards.9A1E597F-F335-460C-9177-6C5273D0CB84.jpgB7F11C06-F9CB-4F60-8186-B9BDCA77747B.jpg
